epic part at 4:17 it really makes you question everything and makes you think of what you question in a very good way. this band combines like 6 genres of music into one. black metal, jazz, progressive rock, death metal, oriental music, blues, punk. their fucking incredible and EVERYTHING works perfectly.
@noinim I see what you mean. Thanks for the clarification. In that sense, yes they're progressive. If you had said progressive black metal, I wouldn't have said a thing as that would've clearly indicated you were using it as an adjective. hmm I hadn't really noticed that but I'll listen more closely and see if I can hear it. Need to get around to King Crimson. Jethro Tull and Queen now that's the kind of stuff I was raised on! Love both! Hawkwind is awesome. Not heard of the others. suggestions?
@metalmaster29 I'm using the word "progressive" as an adjective here, so don't get your panties in a wad over my lack of adherence to your Encyclopaedia Metallum styled labeling system. Anyhow, what do you know, if anything, of progressive rock from the late 60s and early 70s? The mid-section of this song bleeds of such influences. School yourself on some King Crimson, Jethro Tull, Black Widow, Queen, Hawkwind, Mythos, etc., then get back to me.
No mention of Gentle Giant? That quirky mid section reminds me of them a lot more than KC or JT (also I realise I'm replying to a 6 year old comment but eh)
I am addicted, to this song.

...a progressive metal band that honestly infuse true prog rock into their sound.
"dear god"
i guess that's not what they're about.

@noinim This is Experimental Black Metal not progressive metal.
Oh, there's a lot to like about this song. I just thought some of the vocals were weak in comparison to the calibre of the music's other elements.
