How to make Pumpkin Dumplings with Mitarashi Sauce

  • I made pumpkin dumplings. I used a sweet-and-sour mitarashi sauce, but if you want to add butter, you could use butter soy sauce flavor.
    ■Ingredients
    1/4 pumpkin
    4 tbsp. potato starch
    1 tbsp. soy sauce
    1 tbsp. mirin (sweet sake)
    2 tsp. sugar
    1 tbsp. water
    10g butter (or any other butter you like)
    ■Directions
    1. Cut pumpkin and remove skin.
    2. Heat in a microwave oven for 5 to 6 minutes to soften.
    3. Mash with a fork or masher.
    4. Mix in potato starch (add water if the mixture does not come together).
    5. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and form into flat dough.
    6. Put butter in a frying pan and brown the dumplings on both sides.
    7. Add all the ingredients for Mitarashi sauce and bring it to a simmer.
