I can relate with Apurv and Ravi on all aspects of being a Raj Comic fan, as they geeked out on the show. Thank you guys for bringing this podcast. Dhruv ladkio pe haath nahi uthata hai (mostly sare superheroes aise hai). Doga din mein bodybuilder hai. Infact I started doing exercise at home reading 'Doga ki Kasrate'. Oh mann, Raj comics ne bahot diya hai. Pehle nani k ghar jate samay 'railway station' se, fir thursday k din naye set ka intezar karna kisi choti si stationary/library mein. Kabhi Newspaper wale bhaiyya se mangwana. Sunday ko naya set aata tha unke paas. Poora process samjtha tha main k jaldi kyu nhi aa skti. Aur ajkal online order ka zamana. I grew up with Raj Comics. Champak, नंदन, सरिता, कादंबिनी के साथ साथ राज कोमिक्स की दुनिया. और उन सब के साथ साथ बच्चों के बारह उपन्यास, लाल रेखा (कुशवाहा कांत रचित) , प्रेमचंद के उपन्यास , शरतचंद्र की मर्मस्पर्शी कहानियां, केशव पंडित का जासूसी संसार (वेद प्रकाश शर्मा), जो मिला सब पढ़ गए... वो वाकई अनोखे दिन थे__ बेफिक्री मे मस्त और वास्तविक दुनिया से अनजाने में घुला हुआ मन.
Being a kid i used ro have a dream that i'll live in Raj Nagar one day, as it was the city where Dhruv lives. Now i live in Delhi and found out that Raj nagar is just next to me at Ghaziabad as one of my office colleagues lives there. So i told him that how lucky he is. My younger brother and I used to draw these characters in an art book and over roof with chalk 😅 I gifted one of my sketches drawn in the childhood to Sanjay sir in Mumbai 2024 ComicCon recently. Loved this episode, warm wishes for Sanjay Gupta Sir for giving us so many amazing characters. I have read the comics preceeding Raj, like Indrajaal, Manoj, Diamond, Amar Chitra Katha but Raj dominated like no other, Tulsi Comics followed after Raj Comics with some good characters but they did not last very long. Eventually the entire Comic book era came to an end, which is very unfortunate. Amazing to see that he is talking about Vinashdoot, Gagan and Manas Putra, I've read them all 😀

Bam bam Bigelow was actually a character in wwe also. But I saw it first in Nagraj. Later on when I grew old, I saw a wrestler in wwe in early 90s named Bam Bam Bigelow which later became the Big Bossman. The actual person playing the character is sadly no more.

Im 40 and i greq up reading Raj Comics. Such great times. I still dont understand why they are not launching an app from where you can buy and reqd the comics. 2 things i want from them so reach increases and more indians read and enjoy iur own desi superheroes. A. Launch a digital app. Will be easier to read on tablets and buying. And much easier to market and spread. And a lot less exoensive. B. Launch in English also. Even today crores of indians dont even know the existence if Raj Comics cos it caters only to Hindi audience. If they translate it to english also, they can reach a bigger audience. I have asked them multiple times about an app, but they never reply.
Ravi Gupta, I always thought that the quirks of creating my own comic characters and drawing comics were unique to me. Today, I found out that others were also inspired by Raj Comics just like I was. So relatable!
Soooooo nostalgic. My friend had a collection, and i mean a legit collection of over 500 comics (and growing) that too back in late '90s to very early '00s. There was probably no issue of Raj comics he did not have. Now, since my parents didn't used to buy me comics (unless we were travelling by train and then i could have dad buy me 2 comics each time) i used to get comics from this friend of mine sometimes during the year and then during summer vacations boy oh boy - it was heaven for me. On the first day of summer vacation, I used to get 10 comics from him and read them ALL in ONE day, go back to his house the hext day and get 10 more and do this till i had not finished all the new ones. Those were the days 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Raj comics ke characters खास कर ध्रुव और नागराज ने मुझे इतना inspire किया कि मैंने स्केच करना शुरू किया और मुझे याद है कि सर्दियों की धूप मे घंटों तक अपने प्रिय चरित्र ध्रुव, डोगa, नागराज, शक्ति, परमाणु, आदि की अलग अलग तरह की स्केच बनाया कर्ता... खेलने से भी ज्यादा अगर कुछ प्रिय था तो वो थी मैं और मेरी कॉमिक्स की दुनिया... Champak, नंदन, सरिता, कादंबिनी के साथ साथ राज कोमिक्स की दुनिया. और उन सब के साथ साथ बच्चों के बारह उपन्यास, लाल रेखा (कुशवाहा कांत रचित) , प्रेमचंद के उपन्यास , शरतचंद्र की मर्मस्पर्शी कहानियां, केशव पंडित का जासूसी संसार (वेद प्रकाश शर्मा), जो मिला सब पढ़ गए... वो वाकई अनोखे दिन थे__ बेफिक्री मे मस्त और वास्तविक दुनिया से अनजाने में घुला हुआ मन.

Ya to Dhruv ki, ya Multistarrer wali visheshank. Journey ke douran comics padta tha man lagake, or gantavya ate ate comics bhi khatam ho jati thi. Same cheez har journey pe krta tha, or har term exam ke baad. Aisa anand milta tha comics ko padke or unko collect krke jo shabdo me baya karna muskil hai. Ye podcast dekke fir usi innocent time me phch gya. Soch ra hu apne 8 saal kr bhanje ko bhi ek leke du, sara din mobile me ghuse rehta hai.. Kya pata use bhi interest a jaye.. Loved this episode, warm wishes for Sanjay Gupta Sir for giving us so many amazing characters. I have read the comics preceeding Raj, like Indrajaal, Manoj, Diamond, Amar Chitra Katha but Raj dominated like no other, Tulsi Comics followed after Raj Comics with some good characters but they did not last very long. Eventually the entire Comic book era came to an end, which is very unfortunate. Amazing to see that he is talking about Vinashdoot, Gagan and Manas Putra, I've read them all 😀

Bam bam Bigelow was actually a character in wwe also. But I saw it first in Nagraj. Later on when I grew old, I saw a wrestler in wwe in early 90s named Bam Bam Bigelow which later became the Big Bossman. The actual person playing the character is sadly no more.

I still dont understand why they are not launching an app from where you can buy and reqd the comics.
2 things i want from them so reach increases and more indians read and enjoy iur own desi superheroes.
A. Launch a digital app. Will be easier to read on tablets and buying. And much easier to market and spread. And a lot less exoensive.
B. Launch in English also. Even today crores of indians dont even know the existence if Raj Comics cos it caters only to Hindi audience. If they translate it to english also, they can reach a bigger audience.
I have asked them multiple times about an app, but they never reply.

Ravi Gupta, I always thought that the quirks of creating my own comic characters and drawing comics were unique to me. Today, I found out that others were also inspired by Raj Comics just like I was. So relatable!

Soooooo nostalgic. My friend had a collection, and i mean a legit collection of over 500 comics (and growing) that too back in late '90s to very early '00s. There was probably no issue of Raj comics he did not have. Now, since my parents didn't used to buy me comics (unless we were travelling by train and then i could have dad buy me 2 comics each time) i used to get comics from this friend of mine sometimes during the year and then during summer vacations boy oh boy - it was heaven for me. On the first day of summer vacation, I used to get 10 comics from him and read them ALL in ONE day, go back to his house the hext day and get 10 more and do this till i had not finished all the new ones. Those were the days 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Though I haven't read any comics in my life , but I am dead sure that if ever I'll start reading comics , I'll surely start with raj comics😎😎
