Hello friends! If you loved the roundtable, do watch other episodes Be A Man, Yaar Season 2 (and S01!), we have a star studded season with Javed Akhtar, Bhuvan Bam, Dr Vikas Divyakirti, Imran Khan, Gajraj Rao and many more. Both seasons are on Yuvaa, so do like, subscribe and comment your feedback on them! Happy holidays :)
The actors on the round table are so so emotionally intellectually mature and most importantly so connected to their inner world. These are the kind of men I want to be surrounded by,the safe boys, the poookieesss. Also beautiful questions were asked…mostly inerviews consist of questions on actors but asking the collective questions on cinema and society and feminism masculinity was a beautiful initiative. Nikhil sir feels like the bear every girl used to dream of having because his energy is so warm and loving…he is perfect exam of pookie and safe man😭❤️Also as someone who is allot into dramatics and theatre and interested in performing arts watching this interview really helped me to know about the actors perspectives. The teenage advice was beautiful and Abhay being my fav never misses out on articulating his feelings in the right manner…i loved his example of the father and two sons. Varun Grover sir feels like that brother who always pulls your leg but when you’re in difficult situation he’ll be the first one to help and motivate you. Loved the interview and also amazing work done by the editor hemantttt❤️✨
Varun has to be one of the best minds in the business. His intellect is unmatched. The way he explained how violence is taken into practice makes so much sense. Loved the moment when Abhay said that recently he was able to bring his mom to live in Mumbai n everybody just cheered at that, shows how we crave for our families when we are far from them. I was super happy at Aparshakti mentioning that scene where they hide behind a bangle shop. What a brilliant and nuanced writing. My own two bits on portraying problematic behaviour on screen is that yes Art should be free from the burden of society but sadly in a country like ours, it's important that we foresee the repercussion of what is been showed on screen and not glamorise chauvinism or misogyny. All in all a very wholesome conversation. Loved it. Thank you Nikhil 🤗
"Be a man yaar!" is such an amazing concept in today's era...when people are wasting time in pointless gender battles, this platform talks about meaningful conversations around substantial social concepts. All your talks and this round table is surely going to bring about a necessary perspective shift. Thank you, Nikhil sir, for this!
When the interviewer asked about the best things that happened for you in 2024, I literally thought Varun Grover sir is going to repeat that line "Par Ayodhya haar gayi" 💀
but the anchor made uncomfortable moment for all of them many time and tried his best to bring a type of movie to bad light ...stree stree karra isne but ye bhool gya usi stree movie me an item number is kept where a girl is used as an object or as eye pleasure and those men are dancing and running behind her ....
The perspective and warmth in the conversation is gold. Its not a club where people are massaging egos but a place where men are sharing their learning and lifting each other up.
I am really glad that we get to hear such insights and perspectives from men like them. I would rather hear conversations like these than wasting my time scrolling on social media! Kudos to Nikhil sir for bringing all of them together and for such open discussions on topics which are not much touched upon! ❤✨

Also the thoughts they put up were too apt and practical. I wish I could meet any of them(Jaideep Sir especially) in future. Thank you Nikhil Sir for this episode, lots of wishes❤

Please consider doing an episode with Anmol Jamwal of Tried & Refused Productions. It will make for a great conversation on modern-day masculinity. Alternatively, include him in an episode with other RUclips creators. But honestly, he deserves his very own episode, because he is absolutely amazing!
Such a meaningful and necessary conversation. Loved the whole roundtable. I would love to add a perspective here, as people mentioned here that cinema samaaj se banta h, samaaj cinema se nahi or 140 crore ka zimma cinema pr ni daalna chaiye, aap ye bataiye, agar chingaari already hai kahi toh aap usme ghee nahi daalenge, isme do raaye nahi hoengi from a sane human's perspective. Usi tarah se jaisa jaydeep sir ne kaha ki insan me pehle se inspiration thi, aag thi to do something wrong use bas bahana chaiye tha toh aise insaan ko movie dekhni hi ni chaiye, ye baat ek ideal world me sahi ho sakti hai lekin, agar logically or practically dekha jaaye toh ek insaan jiske pass education nahi hai or films ya koi b dusra visual artform hi maadhyam hai duniya ko dekhne ka (which is the sad reality we live in, the population of such people is higher than we know) use aap kaise kahenge ki tum movies hi mat dekho, also to add to this, jaisa ki video me bola ki choosing is a privilege, exactly my point ki it is good if you turned out to be empathetic, sahi galat me farak pta chala or sahi ko choose krpaaye lekin ye privilege har insan k pass nahi. This is a very subtle way of shrugging off the responsibility which comes with the power of holding the mic. Jaisa ki varun grover sir ne kaha ki mere pass kyunki abhi mic hai mai bolunga or log sunenge kyunki art ek aisa madhyam hai jo sabse zyada impactful hai. Visual art has more power than any other art. History me bhi art ka ek bada important role raha hai jiske evidences bhi hai. Art k ander kranti laane ki poori capability hai.
