Ive been looking back over some of your older assemblage videos...you give so much inspiration to your viewers. I love what you have done with this piece, the colour teal is my fav... tfs 💕😊🇦🇺
Thank you Lauraine for your kind comment.. I am glad you are looking around my channel.....I do have all my assemblages in a playlist. I am also a big fan of teal. : )
Wonderful project. That little round plastic thing with the spikes is a rug protector that goes under the legs of a chair or sofa to save the carpet. LOL I have some of these in my trash stash too!
Thanks so much Maria. Oh yes, that makes sense. I collect anything ( small things )with interesting texture and shape and sometimes I have no clue what there are. : )
Love this, and you showed enough of the process to be very helpful. Btw the eagle came off a bowling trophy. I have a lot of these from my dad’s old trophies.
Thanks for letting me know about the eagle,I often wonder where my junk originated. LOL Glad you enjoyed my video Murphy. I appreciate you taking time to comment. : )
Thank you Theresa. i just recently start messing with these type of assemblages and I am hooked, they are addictive. I appreciate your kind comment. : )
I love this assemblage. I think you made excellent art decisions in making it. I don’t think I would have ever come up with something so unusual and interesting. I have to admit it does make my desire to create an assemblage even stronger, though. It is really cool. Thank you for sharing it!
You are welcome Beth and thank YOU for your kind and encouraging comment. I really appreciate it. Give assemblages a try..they are so fun to make and satisfying. : )
I love the teals/torquoises. This is a beautiful piece; if I saw it in a shop for sale I'd be very tempted to buy it. I didn't mind at all that you didn't show every single second of the work in progress; I think you showed what was needed. TYFS
This is again a great creation of you. So many different elements that have come together to form a whole. I particularly like the moving parts with which you can be active. A fantastic job! ❤👍 Hugs vom Tinchen
Danke Dir, Ich freue mich immer, wenn es Dir gefaellt. Es macht mir viel Spass solche Assemblagen zu konstruieren. Da sind keine Grenzen und ein bisschen crazy ist gut. Ha
Oh my goodness, now I'll be saving my sardine tins too! (LOL) I really admire how your creative mind works on these assemblages - both educational and inspiring. Really like the look and feel of this one.
Oh don't save fish tins,,LOL this one got emptied, just when I was looking for something fitting...but of course anything goes. So glad you like the combinations in this assemblage. Thank you so very much.
Love, love, love! I really like not painting everything as I have several "personalized" pieces I want to do where many of the pieces or photos I want to include have meaning so I don't want to cover them up with paint! Thank you for sharing your work and your talent with us!
Bits and Bobs are everywhere LOL I love finding just the right combination and the challenge of making it fit together somehow. Thanks so much Lori for your nice feedback. I appreciate it. : )
I love this Ina!!! It's fantastic!!! I love how interacting some of the pieces are......and, yes, this is very inspiring!! I've done a few configuration boxes and they're so much fun. I love the fun quirkiness (is that a word?) of this project....TFS!!! xx Claudene
Quirkiness is a great word. LOL And yes ,I too love the anything goes aspect of assemblage. Happy you like this one. Thank you so very much Claudene. : )
Wow Ina, you are getting better and better, you out did yourself. I`m wondering where you get all your bits you are using. I never find nice stuff like that.
Thank you Andrea. My daughters and friends pass broken jewelry to me and then I go regularly to Thrift stores for treasures. I know Germany is not big on second hand stores but maybe Flee markets ?? We have 1 unusual thrift store in town, where everything is mixed up in huge shallow bins. They bring new stuff in all day long .....it's messy,dirty......but you pay by weight. So my friend and I go with gloves and dig and fill up a grocery bag with treasures and it costs maybe 5$.It's a gold mine for artists and collectors. It is a good thing that I am limited by space, so I go for small pieces only, I can do a lot with 2 shoe boxes ( that's my limit on storage) full of junk. LOL I enjoyed putting this assemblage together, it's very different compared to the ones I cover completely with paint. I like both type. : )
Hi Ginny. Glad you like this crazy contraption . I loved putting it together and I am searching for just the right things to do more like this. Thanks so much for watching, : )
I gather interesting, odd things for possible focal points and background or filler things and then they come together, when I start working with them. Thank you so very much Carolyn. : )
So clever. If a piece doesn't meet your vision, then change it. Top notch advice.
Thanks so much Chuck, My art..my call..right? I am glad you enjoyed my crazy contraption. : )
