Very impressed with my student Kyoshi Ante Brännbacka's latest contribution; Well presented, nicely explained and easy to follow. Simplistic, yet highly provocative and totally functional in application. Ante describes the HAPV-Theory, presents 2-person scenario-driven and its corresponding related practice, ritualises the solo re-enactment and reveals how, by linking them together into a geometrical configuration, how something greater than the sum total of its individual parts came to become KATA. what lies before you is the pathway essence of Koryu Uchinadi. Congratulations on yet another brilliant project.
As always, excellent work Kyoshi Ante! This will save me so much time and effort in explaining the purpose of kata to my students, both now and in the future. Thank you for keeping the flame alive.
Josh Stewart Thank you! This was the video I mentioned to you about half a year ago when you’d just published your article on why the old masters sucked. Took me a while to finish it...😅
That's all great, but one thing is missing here. Back then, the old masters used karate in battles for life and death. Since we actually and hopefully never get into this situation, we have a small disadvantage

Thank you Sensei for the kind words and for your guidance all these years! If it wasn’t for you, I’d stll be stumbling in the dark. 🙏
I believe even the grandmasters of karate sometimes doubted themselves ,I believe even they get scared when confronted by violence.
