Luka lost the refs with his flop early, where he mimed getting hit in the head, while Nurk missed him entirely. Refs went to go look at the video to see if it was flagrant, saw Luka trying to win an oscar and didn’t want to hear anything he had to say the rest of the night. Can’t blame them.
I think the minimum is to be professional, to judge every play and situation and not be biased because you don't like a situation or player, and needless to say, the idea that “they can't be blamed” for it is horrible, it's their job.

Luka at the end was pissed and telling the ref you can't call that foul on Gafford to end such an exciting competitve game like that. Gafford fouled yes but you can't end a game on such a soft ass weak foul especially after missing the push in the back. If it was me I would have watched the replay and those 2 fouls would have canceled each other and it would have gone to OT. Luka strained his groin on that crazy bounce pass to Klay. He kept grabbing at it all night. He lost a lot of his mobility and change of direction he usually has and it hurt us down the stretch. He was having to settle for 3's or jump shots wasn't able to dance and drive like normal.
So, for the end of the game if they don't call the push they shouldn't call the follow-ups. That being said, Mavs lost this game almost entirely off their rebounding and didn't close the game that they took back in the 4th quarter. The only thing that's really annoying about the way the game ended for me is that watching Kyrie and KD go bucket for bucket was amazing and exciting, watching the game end off the free throws and then that hideous half court lob was just annoying to watch as a basketball fan. Good breakdown as always and I look forward to the next.

How come in America, in the NBA in Dallas, there are no people who would advise Doncic to play basketball and not get angry at the referees. You also have to play 100% defense all the time, every second, of course you need to be physically prepared for something like this, but even more so mentally. Why do players not know how to turn negative energy into positive, why are they so incapable of it. In any sport, I would be the happiest when they started surrounding me with negative energy, because then I would give my all to prove otherwise, and the sweetest victories for me would always be those away from home.
