very easy to grow Hydrangeas, just cut the stem put in the water 1 week later you will see plenty root coming up and you can move them to the pot with soil.
Just cut the stem and directly plant in pot with some sand mix in soil (any normal soil) water it daily. Propagation done. I do grow lots of hydrangeas at home and that's how I plant lots.

It depends where you live. Here in Australia, they grow on the ground and don't need much attention at all. I don't give my ones any fertiliser-it's just what comes down in the rain. I've had to clip them back (old fashioned ones) as they grow quite a bit. They do need lots of water in hot dry weather though!

I wish this video had voice directions. I was wondering why the clippings were transplanted into builders sand, rather than potting soil. Also, are there any ideas as to why the one clipping rooted very well, while the other one did not? Any answers would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for watching the video. I use construction sand because I find it takes root faster. I think the cut that is healthy at first will grow stronger as it grows.
