Cindy is 28 or 29, average lifespan for a baboon of that type is about 20-23 years. goes to show how well she’s taken care of. I hope she has many more years as well though.
@@GodEmporerTrumpshe doesn’t have hierarchical bs or predators to deal with either, and she had a great mom who had to have the patience of a saint by the time her humans kids were born. 🥰 Cindy sounds like she had more energy than that of Rueben and his brother when she was a baby.🤣

lol, it does seem bizarre, but it's actually a pretty universal thing that monkeys (which includes baboons) do. Mothers do it when grooming their babies, siblings do it to each other, babies do it to mom to ask for milk or hugs, young monkeys do it to older males to show deference, lower ranking monkeys do it to higher ranking ones to stave off fights and prevent misunderstandings, etc etc. It's kinda like a universal disarming/i come in peace/we're friends/I love you/etc kinda gesture.
