Our City Kaithal (Haryana), got special privilege to conduct bhandara (free food for all, poori, chole, halwa, jalebi etc. ) in Ayodhya for 50 day from morning till evening. We have arrangement for approximately 5000-7000 people per day. Re closing the curtains before aarati is shown, the order is this - after arcana with flowers is done, the pujaka shows dhoopa (agarbathi, etc), dipa (a small lamp) and then the curtain (or door) is closed when food is offered to Isvara. The curtains are drawn aside after this is done and then the pujaka lights the bigger dipa (usually camphor) and performs aarati.

Shahnai you are talking is actually the twinning of a bhajan 'payo ji maine Ram ratan dhan payo ' . This bhajan was sung by Mirabai of Rajasthan around 400 yrs ago in which she is saying - I got I got Ram name which is like the costliest jwell. Mirabai was a great devotee of Bhagwan Krishn the eighth avtaar of Bhagwan Vishnu . Bhagwan Ram is seventh avtaar of Bhagwan Vishnu . So both are Vishnu avtaars and are same . The only difference is of time , Bhagwan Ram revealed himself in treta yug while Bhagwan Krishn revealed after lacs of years in dwaper yug . 10:11

Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya was built by King Vikramaditya, 2000 yrs ago, which was partially demolished and a Masjid was built over it by Mir Baqi, named Babri masjid.
For about 70 yrs after Independence, Hindus have fought a legal court case asking for justice in free India, to have the temple of one of their most revered deity rebuilt and his birthplace be given back to his devotees to worship.
Archeological proofs, inscriptions, temple structures dating centuries before Islam was ever founded, were presented as proof and Hindus won the case on the basis of documents and structures which proved Lord Ram existed.
