- ***One thing I failed to mentioned is the the wiring harness. I’ll post a link to my playlist in which there are videos where I reworked the stock harness myself and I had my tuner - tune the computer for me. The wiring wasn’t terrible, but there is a lot of attention to detail and it is very time consuming. However, if you are looking to stay really budget, it’s the way to go. I saved a few hundred dollars doing it myself.

How can I find that tensioner I mean I look on lsx concept website it don’t show if I can get a little more info from u will b nice.. love video and car
It’s there entry level race tensioner. To be completely honest, I messaged & called LSX Concepts on a couple occasions to try and get more info myself. No response ever. A couple years ago they commented on one of my install videos basically saying I did something wrong on the install and I basically told them what I just told you and said “your customer service was bad.”
They make great stuff from my experience with this, but trying to get info about a product wasn’t the best experience for me. However, with all that said, the tensioner has held up great. Just took the car to LS fest in Vegas. 3000 mile round trip and it drove & performed great!

This is really what it’s all about! I’m in the exact same spot that you described. Same year coupe and my 305 has taken a shit. I’ve thrown some cash at it and I am at a crossroads with 350 or LS swapping. Budget build vs Green lighting, customizing pieces vs leaving original… this was helpful! 🙌🏾

Thanks for the support! You would need Bracket kit, piping and intercooler if u decide to go that route, 3 bar map sensor, possible a harmonic balancer depending on what bracket system you run.

Meh... I'm glad that people are loving LSs... all the big blocks and big block parts have been going for decent prices, i just got a twin sister dual dominator and linkage kit for my 427, i'm jazzed
To each their own. I just drove mine on a 3000k mile round trip to Vegas with no issues. Plenty of power when I need it with great gas mileage and rides like a Caddy.

I had a Caprice back in '99 found a Z28 SS in the junkyard back in was smashed n the motor was good so I took the motor and trans and put it in my Caprice and broke my rear end three times I had it for a year sold it to a female and she drove it for 4 years till somebody stole it

Noticed you said you using a GN fuel pump sending unit thinking of grabbing one for a 87 to use. I’m assuming the different year GN sending unit doesn’t matter as long as it’s for a intake pump? And if I’m wrong can you link me to the right one to use. And on another note I was doing a lot of research and the bubble 92-96 tanks bolt right in if you use the 92-96 tank straps they have baffling and the 1990 box 89-90 box chev tank has intank pump as well they have a bowl in the tank to help with fuel slosh/starvation. If you ever wanted to upgrade. I’m going to use my stock tank for now because of budget purposes lol
I just search for an ‘87 GN unit: FG156A I’ll post a link at bottom. On the bubble tanks - yes, to my knowledge it’s pretty much a direct bolt in. It does have a baffle as well. I’m running one in my 71 Chevelle. That was not a direct bolt in.

@@NORTH_HWD No problem. I would highly suggest not doing it in a Chevelle. It was way too much work and you have to cut the floor pan. Just my opinion tho.

No. But I was never going to boost the car.🤷🏾♂️ I keep my boost under 13 lbs to stay safe.
