Hi Chris. Months ago I ordered a spring kit for a CZ 452 17 HMR I have and was VERY pleased with the results. I talked to you on the phone and asked about a spring kit for a couple of Browning A Bolts I have. One in .300 Win. Mag. and another stainless synthetic camo stocked one in .375 H&H Mag At that time you said you didn't. Just this last week I got an email from you telling about these new replacement springs you got so I ordered one. Put it in my .375 and man what a total difference. I'll be ordering another one for my .300 as well. $12.95 + shipping is ONE HELL OF A LOT BETTER than $30 for the browning replacement (or whoever is supplying them). Thanks for all that you do. And it's great to be a member of the M*CARBO Brotherhood!
Just installed the MCARBO spring on my composite stalker. I set the spring to maximum tension because this is my hunting rifle. The trigger pull is now 2 lbs. The factory was set at 5.5 lbs and varied by several ounces from shot to shot. The MCARBO spring is consistent within an ounce. Great product. Can't wait to install one in my X Bolt.
Just now installed the MCarbo trigger kit on my ABolt 270 which I love. Measured trigger at 4# (factory setting) at start of job had 1.8# at the end with a 2/3 turn of adju screw too. Awesome! Video excellent and really a very easy job with a couple of tools; a clean edged screwdriver to get the trigger covers off and small punch. Will be ordering again soon, btw their small gunsmith block was VERY handy on this job..
Great video and spring as well. In a 93 Medallion it took the trigger pull from 4.5 to 2.5 and in a 86 Hunter it went from 3.5 to 2 even. I've done a number of dry fires with both and I've put around 40 rounds through the Hunter with it still surprising me on the point of discharge often. I don't have an excuse now to do any custom work or to consider getting another rifle now.
I'll give this a shot. I can't adjust my stock Abolt II any lower than 4lbs. How much lower can I go with this spring kit. Is it just gonna go down the 3lbs. or lower?
Took my a bolt 2 apart and upon reassemble I tightened the action screws. When I was done I did a function test the safety would not move. I loosened the rear action screw and it worked. Is that normal for over torqued action screws?

Plus the Browning spring would be the tight wound up one you had!

i heard the receiver metal was to thin on the A-bolt from another youtuber.
Changed my trigger spring out and now it likes to fire randomly when the bolt is closed.
Would the same spring work in a miroku m bolt have been told they are the same mine has a very heavy trigger

do detachable magazine conversions exist for these rifles?
having a hard time with my serial number. I have 05105PY117. can't find a reference for the 117 on browning website
You have a BBR, which was made before the ABolt. I believe the Abolt was introduced in 1984. Your gun was built in 1982.
Went from 4lb to just under 1.5lbs
5 oz. 😮
