Danni when you are trying to figure out the price for an item just take the price and multiply it by the opposit of the discount you get. Ex: 15.00 x 60% is $9.00. When you do it the other way you have to see how much you get off and then subtract it from the original price. Just and fyi.

Last year our hopeless county decided to mail out the 2nd installment of property taxes on Dec. 2nd, having them due on 12-31--2022. "Crook County" property taxes are very high, so very thoughtless to bill at Christmas time! Bah humbug, right? I put in a little post-it, with my payment, saying "Isn't this grinchy"? I think others did likewise, because this year, they sent them 1 month earlier, due Nov. 30th.

Last year my water heater decided it had aged out. It is inside my condo. I had 40 gallons of water to soak up and didn’t realize it affected the two closets behind it for a few days. At least yours is in the garage. It was a sticker shock to replace it. Oh well. I’m so glad you were there when the outlet went bad. Remember, it is written, “It came to pass” not, “It came to stay”. You know, Harlene and Will finally made it to the Bougie GW... and she bypassed the big fish... I tried yelling at the phone screen, but maybe you can let her in on it. The pretty penguin candle holder was one of my favorite small items from when I sold Partylite. They really were popular. Still pretty. Like Avon, Partylite didn't make anything, even the candles were Colonial Candles of Cape Cod. I realize now, that the nicer items were made by the companies that made the pretty glass pieces. Good chef knives come from a store that actually sells chef knives. They are not cheap. My friend is a professional chef. Her knives cost alot because they last forever. One knife can cost $150- $200.

Girl! This December I have had a leaky shower-repaired $100. Dishwasher shooting water all over my kitchen-repair $100. Hot water heater, three weeks and finally found out they couldn’t get another 75gallon hot water heater (came with the house) so, I tell the warranty company I’ll take a 50 gallon so no hot water until this Tuesday and… I have to pony up $1025. Needless to say, I have not done any Christmas shopping.
Always three or more at a time, especially when you might, might have a little extra $$$. I try to count my blessings each day to stem this type of pain.
I still set a whole table on Saturday when I have guest. Including cloth napkins and silver and gold flatware. Chins from the 40’s I think k. It was my grandmother’s.
I feel you. Major car repair and $1,000+ kitty eye surgery. On the plus side I received Public Service loan forgiveness for my student loans after 12 years of working in the nonprofit sector.

Pretty sure the fish is not Blenko but China made. Most Blenko fish do not have the fin on top. I have this one too and I wish it was Blenko.

Chicago cutlery is great! Those dishes at kohl's were absolutely beautiful. I thought they were temptations at first.
Oh, the wall clocks behind the wooden bowls were everything! There were two. It's a little different but the same style.
