And here's the thing - every time the killer defeats a superstar, they are removed from the active roster. Because they are *dead.* Because they killed them. Dead. If a wrestler manages to defeat a killer, then the killer is momentarily neutralised, & only returns after a set period of time (eg until the next PPV) - however, *another* killer is introduced immediately, & stays in play until they are defeated. The season runs until a suitably horrorish PPV (Survivor Series, Armageddon, Halloween Havoc etc). If the wrestlers outnumber the killers by the end of the PPV, they win: otherwise, the killers win. Alternatively, just keep going until there's only one wrestler left, who becomes the Final Girl, & takes them all on with full finishers etc.
Trimming down the roster to 5 people by Survivor Series and having them fight for their lives against horror movie icons in the 5-on-5 Survivor Series match does sound like it would make that match meaningful.
