Absolutely amazing. I'm a heavy Abe Cunningham influenced rimshot guy, so I'll probobly be going bell brass for live rock situations, but for anything where I wouldn't want to tear the audiences head off with each rimshot I'd go with this snare.

Tré Cool used this Snare to record the American Idiot Album. He also used it in the early 2004 World Tour of American Idiot. Cranked real high, that thing pops!

Anyone with an opinion about this compared to the Supraphonic and the Copperphonic?
I’m interested in getting one of these Ludwig snares but which one and which size?
getting ready to pull the trigger on one of these. Cant decide on gold or chrome? how well does the gold hold up? Anyone hv and experience with the gold?
It's brass plated not gold plated. Brass stain less than gold but even with brass though, the trick is to wash your hands before touching it. I have one exactly like this one with the brass plated hardware and it's still like brand new because i don't touch it without washing my hands. I do the same with my brilliant cymbals.

I would absolutely LOVE to hear some of the (SUPPOSEDLY) best snares in the world in a blind sound test against some of the cheaper snares!!!. I bet we’d ALL be looking at the catalog a little differently when we ordered???🤔🤔🤔
