  • The Walk Belt is designed to aid carers as they assist patients in sit-up-to-stand and walking. This video demonstrates the key features of the Walk Belt; as well as how to properly fit it to a patient, and use.
You can read the transcript below:
The Walk Belt is designed so that one, or two, carers can assist a patient in sit-up-to-stand, as well as with stability in walking.
The Walk Belt is made from a wipeable PVC.
The Walk Belt's innovative cut away from handles maximise patient comfort; and the buckle fastening allows easy tightening and fitting of the belt to the patient.
Simply place the Walk Belt behind the patients back and draw the straps around the patient's front, attaching them together in the middle.
Then pulling both straps together, tighten to fit the patient; these can be tightened further once the patient is standing if necessary.
Tuck the straps in on either side, through the front handles of the Walk Belt.
Now you can use the Walk Belt to aid the patient in standing; by taking hold of both the frontal and rear handles on the Walk Belt.
Once the patient is standing, you can aid in walking, by using the same handles to support the patient's stability and mobility.
