May through to the end of August is pheasant hunting season in the Manawatu - New Zealand.

Thanks - normally do fishing videos, but gopros are so versatile and stabilisation on the hero 7 really good. Drone stuff a bit of a mission but worth it to give a bit of extra interest. Thanks for the comment - appreciate it.

I haven't seen too many pheasant hunting videos from New Zealand. This is a great one.

Thanks for the comment. Don't think NZ is much of a pheasant hunters destination, although there are one or two game preserves around now. Mostly rough hunting forest edges, river beds and some farmland. That is the most fantastic video and aerial platform use I've seen from you Chris. Were the aerial pan shots at 0:22 and 0:43 done by another operator or did you use a lock on target setting? Really loved the slow-mo at 4:18, great demonstration of lead and timing. Awesome work! Flash.

Thanks Flash. I used 3 different intelligent flight modes to capture the footage with me in it. Also, the new gopro 7 black (on my head) has great stabilisation which makes a huge difference. Thanks for the comment.

Just Subbed, I went Pheasant hunting a couple times when i was younger. to bad florida doesn't have a population of those beautiful birds. would love to do that kind of stuff again when im not fishing

Thanks for the comment (and the sub) - Yep, it's great exercise and challenging for dogs and shooters alike as they are cunning birds. Winter fishing in New Zealand's Central North Island starting to fire up so making the most of the local pheasant shooting for now.
