With barbies as a child I got a great habit from my mother. We would pick which ever doll looked prettier. Mattel usually have the same doll painted inconsistently. My mum and I would always compare each doll and picked the best looking one. IT don’t have that issue ! Thank goodness 😅

So I was on the fence and now I absolutely getting her! I’m getting her today! IT’s decided 🤣😂🤣 I also do agree that I wish she was more articulated but also I feel like they def don’t think they need to because she’s I’m assuming meant for either in the box or just straight up display. I feel like Mattel doesn’t really care that a lot if not most out of box collectors do doll photography and that possibility is soooooo important to us. They have to wrap their head around that doll content is becoming the new norm in the collector world and they’re just a bit behind the times on it

You can really see where the budget went here… but since the pose is somewhat creative I can get over the fact that the articulation is limited. Would have loved some rooted eyelashes though.

Congrats on getting one! She is a Beautiful doll. I'm skeptical about them being in stores and I don't buy from scalpers. Considering all the other dolls like western ken and barbie were at a $50 price point and were devoured in their 1st and 2nd releases, I'm not holding my breath that this doll's availability will be any different. I'm glad I could see her here, so thank you for the review. ❤ it's kinda sad how certain dolls are obviously in high demand and yet mattel doesn't make enough. It seems like all these popular dolls are marketed to be "exclusive and limited ". Well, I'll just enjoy reviews on these dolls and spend my money on groceries and other brands 😀

I was also bummed that the Mariah Carey doll isn't on a MTM body, but she seldom moves around on stage, so it's kind of fitting. I wonder if a Fresh Doll body would work?

GORGOEUS !!! I'm waiting on mine to arrive. I was thinking Barbie Looks 12 would be a good skin tone match and nice body for her BUT I'm on the fence since I love that she has her own body sculpt.

Her body type would most closely match the new Katie Body Type from Jhd Dolls....buuuuut l don't necessarily like what l have heard about the plastic those bodies use. The barbie Curvy MTM dolls would probably be the best...and most easily accessible. In my opinion....
What did you hear ? I have a Katie and so far no problems. But then I haven't tried to take the head off yet. That's really the only thing you'd have to worry about. Sometimes if you're not really careful the neck might break around the peg if you don't hear the head enough. Other than that I'm not sure if the have a skintone that would match just yet. Hope that helps. ❤️
@@rodrickdavis637 the reviews l have seen have showed the joints/ limbs being all noisy , clacking and clicking. I have not been confident enough to buy the doll because of the reviews l saw. I don't have personal experience with the JHD doll and am encouraged by what you said .
