      @AndyWitmyer I really don’t agree with him being obnoxious, I think all the things he tried to explain about the ending were what Takahashi intended for us to take away from the ending. Those of us who would really dig into the meaning of it, that is. It might be disappointing at first and you may not realize at first, but it’s pretty clear at the end of base game that the worlds do eventually merge back together correctly in the way Origin was intended. They just didn’t wanna straight up show that for some reason. Which, that part I understand being disappointed about. The whole thing of just not showing what’s being heavily implied anyway

    I'm taking the Project Exodus reference to be a simple declaration that "Xenoblade X isn't going to be left behind".
    It's extremely difficult for it to be directly related, but that doesn't mean we can't get the rest of that universe's ideas. Heck, Elma could even still show up as a character, just with a new backstory more friendly to Blade and Saga.

      @torrent5018 Год назад +20

      @@the_maker1841 I haven't played Xenosaga so am not 100% sure about this, but isn't one of the like most important characteristics of Xenosaga's universe the fact that humans are all alone in the universe/no other intelligent life was found despite interstellar travel? That seems like a major conflict, but there's likely going to be a degree of synthesis of different aspects of each canon to make them fit. Like Xenoblade X &/or Xenosaga may not literally be made canon in their entirety but large portions of the ideas and story bits could be introduced to Xenoblade.

    • @the_maker1841
      @the_maker1841 Год назад +9

      @@torrent5018 it is a good point of the xenosaga of the idea they are alone. I more follow the branch idea that Ina time frame or something caused different events. I have mostly spit ball. Yet I think X is either set as a simulation event that is being used when exodus is being planned out to see how well space colonization could go and of we could overcome another species (which ends up not caring much in the xenosaga line as they are alone). The earth blowing up and everything could be used to keep those in the simulation grounded in said simulated world. Yet they actually get to their given goal and that is where we find nothing is there. No lifehold, no computer to make real bodies. Just Elma's. The other side is that the event the Klaus triggered effected alot more than what we see and the aliens and such are a product to then go after earth and then the such of X happens.
      Much like how it was pointed out in this video, X has lots of contradictory lore but this also can point that X's world could very much be a product of something completely different than Xenosaga or Xenoblade 1,2, and 3.
      Then again, it could be the devs making a reboot to X as they now have a more solid direction and watch as all of the X cult fans die inside as our theories get thrown out.

      Honestly, I've always thought they shared a universe- the war that resulted in Earth's destruction in X always felt weird to me, and after seeing in XC2 how the Artifices were fighting up in space, I can totally see a way to either 1. Retcon the nature of the battle or 2. Make those artifices effectively be Skells. It's not that much of a reach to make it work- a remake of XCX could easily patch up the holes.

      You can actually fit X if no need for retcons, only needing that they stick strong to the concept of eternal reocorrence. And it goes like this: On the merged "New Earth" (lets call it like that) from years after 3 ending, whose people (from 1 and 2) were already very tech advanced, go on to advance even more, and eventually depart to conquer galaxies, they are what eventually becomes the Samaarian federation (at the down of time, they came in from another plane, as per X, just like happened when the XC2 universe came in from another plane, to merge). They expand so much that at some distant future, the "New Earth" ends up forgotten/lost. They continue to evolve and change. Eventually at some point in the distant future, they decided to terraform yet a new Earth, or even, a new solar system (they have so much tech that they can make even this at this point), let´s call it Earth 2, and they make sure to guide evolution there to go as they see fit for their purposes, and then, bioengineer what is supposed to serve as their failsafe (Humans from Xenoblade X), and we know from X that the Samaarians have this level of bioengineering tech, from Xenoblade X quests. Or alternatively, they get to the point of technology of dimension travel (not far fetched, given what XC1/2 people tech did with Origin, and how much tech those people would have at this point I am describing, and the fact many universes is canon to blade), and apply all this to that dimension primitive Earth. More years passes by, Earth 2 evolved to the point where we see in the beggining of Xenoblade X. Earth 2, just like old "New Earth", also has get to a point of having a Coalition government (eternal reocorrence, so ok for the similarity actually), but Earth 2 does not have the Conduit nor the towers . Elma, who maybe could be a possibly modern Samaarian (maybe one of the few left, as the rest mixed and shaped to other races, as they expanded to become a mega galatic empire), that does not agree with the current path and ethics of modern Samaar federation, goes to Earth 2 and warns X humans of the imminent treat. White whale leaves Earth 2, and , "by coincidence" (there are quests that imply that may have actually be driven by some force), lands in none other then old "New Earth"/Lost Earth, there is, "New Earth" millions of year after 3 ending. Or in the other alternative I mentioned, this force that guided then to Earth 2 is what made them swap dimension (still believable given some of the phenomena surrounding Mira, like the Ganglion and the ma-non being led to there in a flash of light). Nopons were native of "New Earth" and unlike old Humans/now Samaarians, some remains there, which makes sense in this scenario. And the reason why humans did not die after the memory storage of the lifehold got wrecked, is because something in "New Earth" also has the capacity to store data and "souls", Origin, who was in "New Earth" since the merge between 1 and 2 eons in the past by now, (something about this planet). Meaning, that last shot in Future redeemed is indeed the white whale crashlanding, and those humans from X name the old "New Earth", Mira (the sequence gives no indication of how much time passed, could be on a cosmic scale as far as we know). Mira geology does lend it itself to this scenario, as, how merged XC1/2 worlds would look like after millenia has passed. As a extra, from the distance from "New Earth" of that shot in future redeemed, a human sized cyborg should not be possible to see, but a ship the size of the white whale could. So X happens millenia after the ending of 3, a time scale that has precedent in the franchise. And the eternal reocorrence do makes history in these two Earths flowing similar, credible, within what the franchise themes has worked on. Here is more believable than the retcons about Dimitri that and the others needed for Saga, for instance. This is just one example of possibly others where Monolith Soft, the actual creators of the franchise, could fit X without the need of retcons or minimal retcons, just the need to stick a bit strongly on eternal reocorrence.

    Matthew is one of my most like characters for the length of the story. Chad-asorus-rex is awesome but in this story Mathew's persinality explains so much of how the city and the hope was carried on.
    The kids were awesome, it felt they were more devices to show rex's and shulk's character growth into fathers. Many small scenes at the camps or in the background just made the dad vibes awesome. I do feel they got shafted on character growth but what can you do in 10 hours worth of main story.
    Shulk and Rex are giga dads and love that at the end A reminds them they can't go to far, yet they want to so bad.
    The story was a great closure for the main game and a good epilog for the 1st and 2nd games. Specially that radio mind blowing info dump.
    The theories of Xeno games with mainly X in my mind, are going to get crazy. I think it strengthened my theory of how Klaus's experiment and actions were happening around the same time that X's alien invasion and a branch was created at that time frame. Klaus did his thing and made the Xenoblade 1, 2, and 3 arcs. At the same time i believe earth was in danger of some stuff from either ailen invasion to world collapsing actions. Either way it seems that Xenogears and X also had their kick off from there as well. I need to go back and play/look at Xc2 and Xc1 to verify if the station Klaus and Co were on was being attacked by something. Anyway, just rambling at this point but it looks good for the theoriests.
    Game play - Affinity system hit take, I like it. Yet i am not a speed runner or anything. I get distracted easily and curious about stuff. So i am glad i get more rewarded for my playstyle in this game. I didn't like Tora's implementation but Future redeemed's way of going about it was perfect for me.
    Music: the base combat OST is probably my favorite in the fanchise. It has such a cool vibe. My friend and I noticed how the chain attack music had a blend of Xc1 and Xc2 chain attack music which was awesome.
    I think noah throwing the sword is more symbolic. I don't think it really means anything of throwing the 2 wifes away. More of moving forward. But building on i did like how it showed the planets coming together and becoming one. Shows that we did thebright thing as at some point the worlds merge together.
    Overall i loved this and Xc3. I am looking forward to what is instore for us in the future. I now need to replay X to refresh my mind to better write a dissertation on everything that radio dropped.

    I'm guessing 2 things. Either is Takahashi reimagining Saga's lore/events into Blade's or there's some strong story and timelines lore that we didn't know just yet between Blades, Saga, X. If it that was our original KOSMOS in FR post ending, does that mean that similar events between Saga and Blades are occurring at the same time, but in different timeline and universes? Also, they could start Saga 4 and Blade 4 together, by merging the plot that Takahashi was originally envisioned for Episode 4 into the new plot and new world for Xenoblade 4. This is just my mind creating something in between these

    I still feel like Xenoblade X has to fit into this somehow. The radio is obviously what Takahashi meant about how Future Redeemed will hint at the future of the series, and it would be really weird for the radio's references to one game/series be direct connections while the references to the other game/series be just Easter eggs. It's something we can't really just pick and choose. My guess is Xenosaga, the main Xenoblade series, and Xenoblade X are all connected to each other in _some_ manner, but not within a shared, linear timeline. Maybe it's parallel universes with similar events up to when humanity finds the Zohar but then it splits from there. Maybe it's related to the Eternal Recurrence. Maybe it's in a manner we don't know yet. I'm not sure. But I'm looking forward to seeing what will come in the future, and I'm also hopeful we'll finally get something new Xenosaga-related, be it a remaster, remake, or a new game.

    • @joebilly3719
      @joebilly3719 Год назад +1

    Having the games on modern consoles would be cool enough as is, but a remake could help out each game in the trilology imo with some QOL improvements. XS1 could use some speedups in battle animations, make enemy boost turns more fair/clearer rules, and streamline menus. XS2 ideally could tweek damage numbers/scaling, also speed up combat animations, and rework the games's artstyle and character designs to be less weird. XS3 needs the least changes, but a hard mode that pushes the games combat to its limit would be nice, given how utterly broken so many things in the game are.

    Great analysis Enel, the radio was kind of shocking when I first got to the ending. I wouldnt be surprised if Monolith was working on a Saga remaster or remake to retcon it into the main Xenoblade series. The stories broadly fit together, so it wouldn't be difficult to make changes to the story, where the original Saga is one timeline of events, and another timeline leads to Xenoblade or something. My biggest worry about this radio was the Xenoblade X implications. Xenoblade X''s story and overall feel are very different from the main series, and I think adding things like the Ganglion or aliens into the main series in the way that X does it would sort of taint the original isolated story of Klaus and the Conduit. I would love the next Monolith game taking place on this world and giving context to how it developed after the merge. Because this could give more context to Noah disappearing or at least maybe mention it vaguely 1000s of years after the fact. I do like thinking about the gang from both 1 & 2 developing the world together without having to worry about moebius or annihilation events.
    The way Rex, Shulk, & "Alvis" walked out was awesome. The fact that they were there for a specific purpose makes sense why certain characters didn't show up but were mentioned.
    I do like how the song is like a heartfelt goodbye to Blade, but I really like the fact that the world's did come back together as one thanks to Origin. Which speaking of, is the only way for X to make sense because of the lifehold reference.

You can ignore the side content if you really want too, but you’re making things noticeably harder on yourself if you do so. You theoretically can finish P5R without doing Confidants, but you miss out on a lot of perks and Persona Fusions are all around weaker. By the same token, you can just follow the story path in FR, but then your party is much weaker because you can’t fill out their Skill Trees.

    It makes clear that both are powered by the pneuma core.

      The Logos core I believe is in N's weapon. Pneuma's core is in Matthew's. The swords forged from Origin merely act as conduits to unleash their full power. That's the implication I think. That blade is then either given to a version of Noah who then has it through his numerous cycles OR Matthew finds a way to essentially insert that blade into the network that all the various inhabitants draw their blades and the Pneuma core waited until the right user came along.

    So, coming from someone who hasnt played X, what if Project Exodus was reworked at the last moment to be the last ditch effort instead of the colonization of the universe? The dates not lining up is definitely a tell of the connection not being there, but in theory, dates and times could get jumbled during humanity's literal extinction event (if im reading into it correctly) to attempt to find a suitable planet/system to evacuate to and start anew. Im willing to be wrong, and I have only half of the story since again, I have not played X. Food for thought though, I found it interesting on how Monolith intertwined the whole of the Xeno series.

    There's a lot of stuff in Future Redeemed that just feels so cathartic to uncover, mostly because of how bluntly it just ties certain topics together.
    Just in case, I don't wanna spoil anyone wandering around in the comments;
    It's just stuff like "Yeah, Alvis was Ontos. Like, the whole time, as part of the Processor, in tow with Pneuma and Logos.", y'know, that thing we've speculated and all but confirmed, but never had an actual answer for for years now? There's no beating around the bush, just straight to the point, the writers respect the time and dedication of the long-time Xeno fans enough to simply hand the answer to you. Like, they already know that we know, but it's that little nugget of concrete evidence to reward that commitment that I appreciate the most.
    There's a bunch of those, like with how on the nose they were about Shulk and Rex's kids without straight up telling you (because they also respect that we're capable of putting two and two together), the radio broadcast making that nod towards XCX and Gears/Saga, but not completely letting on as to which one it references (it's nice to think that they haven't totally forgotten XCX), and Matthew's family name dropped right at the very end (I super appreciate that, ngl).
    It's just good, man. Some parts could obviously have been fleshed out a little more, but with how stacked the trilogy has been until this point, I feel like it's fine to leave it as it is. Anything more would be like being spoon-fed the answers, and it'd kind of ruin the loose sort of vagueness that has become something of a trademark for the series. As much as I appreciate how direct FR is in some aspects (in particular, being some of the longer running mysteries), some things are just better left unspoken.
    I had fun, I'm sad that it's over, but I'm elated to have been able to follow it from the beginning as this chapter finally reaches it's end. Part of me hopes we won't have to wait too long for whatever they're planning next, but more than anything, I'd want Monolith to take a well-deserved rest. They've been cranking out bangers for this long, not only on their own projects, but on everyone else's as well, they've definitely earned it.

    Thank you so much for playing Xenosaga on your channel to give people like me a similar experience I totally overlooked the Vector logo and first thought Dimitri would just be an easter egg to tickle Xeno Fans Balls but also thought about KOSMOS in the end and all these discoveries afterwards lead to an interesting evening where me and a friend of mine would theorize the crap out of this. I hope we will get the Xenosaga Trilogy in new form on the Switch to share the amazement it sparked in me with others who never had the chance to experience that.
    Now one thing not to underestimate is that Xenoblade 1-3 are still taking place in Episode 1-3 of Perfect Works if they're parallel to these games. Which means X could still come at the end somehow. We should Not forget there are Xenosaga ships in one of the final cutscenes of the Main Story and lore wise Samaarians created Ganglion. My theory is they used Technology similar to the Lifehold to do that, it is canon that artificial bio life is creatable so who knows. At this point I would even believe X standing for 10. Though I'll be happy even if it boils down as its own thing and gets at least something one day. But Saga Fans waited even longer so feed them first

    Really, really hoping we get a dovetail double dip and see these universes' lores merged somehow, but even if we don't? The kind of long-plan, ultrarich, emotionally nuanced and *healthy* (and psychically damaging at times, let's be real) story-weaving that went into the Klaus/Blade arc is so, so, so, incredibly rewarding even on repeat playthroughs.
    I just. After the narrative tour-de-force of XC3, imagining just how much more engrossing and obsession-inducing a redux of or return to XS could be is frankly ridiculous. Imagining the battle mechanics, the environments, the soundtrack, the story parallels and synergies... (monkey shrieking intensifies)!!
    so yeah. XC3, back with some hot new DLC (and a common variety Nopon) to a) rekindle an old hyperfixation, b) break my heart *again* after XC3 already did it, and then c) yeet said heart into fricken hyperspace with LORE IMPLICATIONS

    I think there is still a possibility that somehow earth post and pre Aionios aren't the same, which would explain why in X there is no trace of the big orbital circle, like maybe SAGA is pre and during xenoblade arc and X takes place after the dimensions fused back together, and at this moment the place where the alien attack is either not the same earth, just a look alike with human life (and a coveniently named place "Los angeles" and USA lol) and Mira would be the place where xenoblade 1 & 2 fused back (coping on that cause it would give "explanation possibilities" of a shiton of weird stuff about mira), or is the same place and all the alien in X not appearing in SAGA is a coïncidence.
