Characters on TV got to do what they couldn't on film:

What helps sells the film is the Practical effects & special effects! It’s all so creative and original it’s Oscar worthy.

I had to make two attempts to watch this film when it came out, as the first time we tried to see it, the projector broke down and had the film catch fire, right at the moment seen at 19:00 in this video. It took a few seconds before anyone in the theater realised that it wasn't actually part of the movie.

    So I found this.
"At the time the film was made no Head & Shoulders product contained selenium sulfide, but the company used the film to introduce their selenium product which was released when the film came out."
    And this
"According to some design sketches, the final form of the alien's evolution would've been a much more humanoid form. However, seeing how difficult it how to make this a realistic threat, instead they went with the giant cell."

I'm an unabashed fan of Ivan Reitman. He managed to strike a balance between horror and comedy. I own this movie on DVD. And I remember the trailer that had the "TAKE THE LEG" scene

That alien mosquito scene was hilarious and mostly uncomfortable to watch first time.

Love this movie so much, watch it regularly along with Eight Legged Freaks and Mom and Dad Save The World. Need more films like these
Also still enjot the cgi, a lit of its still good, but my favorites are rhe Pug Alien and the Dragon Aliens, still absolutely love their form.

They need to watch Eight Legged Freaks.
I’m scared of spiders but the genius of that film is that they made the spiders kinda cartoony.

@@MattSipka the jumping spiders were adorable with the sounds they made. I'm definitely gunna request it next movie poll that comes up.
