Thanks again, Darren for sharing a great video. I ordered one, but have to wait for Rotkee to resend me the nescessory products with an email informed. They responded my mail last Tuesday and said they would deal soon with my issue they first met.
I cant wait until the MT 4.1 pro is back in stock. That and the Usb Autoscope would be great content on this channel. Especially a testing of the scripts they run . Great content
It’s interesting stuff; new for me but I’ve had a look at what they’re doing and you’re right. I’ve not managed to get my MT Pro to connect to my laptop yet 😬
Thanks! Yeah it’s really cool stuff. Not really - it’s actually ultrasonic so it’s limited. But I reckon there might be other things we can do with it. Need to get creative 😁
Not sure, I understand this is an ultrasonic sensor, so might be too sensitive, or not effective. Be better getting some cheap piezo elements and glueing them to croc clips. Or get chassis ears; i love that tool for noises
I don't work on diesels so it may serve a purpose there....however on a regular gasoline ice engine, this seems gimmicky especially when you're already getting a voltage and current ramp which would provide a more definitive answer compared to the noise this provides.
Not really a vibration sensor if it doesn't pic up vibration from plastic hoses as well but more like a knocking sensor/microphone that feels the knock/ping in the fuel pressure spike. More like a digital stethoscope for the oscilloscope. Could possible be used to find and time to check engine noise also. Never the less i see this as a useful tool that i want 😁
Solid plastic it works. I tried on rubber and it wasn’t great (nothing solid to couple to). Vibration is just what they call it but yes I see what you’re saying 👍 Timing to noises sounds like a great use for this sensor! Cheers
Is Rotkee still shipping? I've been trying to place an order for about a month and it won't accept any payments and I haven't got a response from them. Anyone have any info?

Pretty cool and I'd like to have one, but when I went to order and checkout, the option for PayPal was requested for 'friends and family' only. (No payment protection...) I emptied the basket and will make do without this tool.
Yes I hear that puts quite a few people off - I can confirm they follow through and have great customer service. Lots of orders delivered. I will say getting hold of them at the minute can be tricky...
@@MechanicMindset Thanks for the reply, Darren. All they have to do is add 3.5% to their price to cover the difference and both parties have a little more comfort. Other than that I have nothing against them unless they are using that practice to avoid the tax man (which I totally understand, just wish it didn't have to be that way...)
@@KingLoopie1 I have asked our local PayPal about this. It's PayPal's policy for Ukraine atm. "Friends and Family" only in some places, No thing allowed in my place.
This was my thought as well but I followed through and my order arrived last week. I got the vibration sensor and the pulse pressure sensor. My order total was only 60 dollars (I think) so it was worth the risk for me however it turns out there was no risk.
Thanks again, Darren for sharing a great video.

Great thanks! They have some challenges but the are getting through it; no disappointed customers that I know of yet 👍

@@MechanicMindset i got one just now and learning on it. Have to say pico is more intuitive.

I have used a knock sensor for a similar test
Great idea!
Thank you sir for your Constant excellent content ! You are a True Specialist ! Chapeu!
Thanks! Glad you are enjoying the videos 😆
Another great video, keep up the good work. I've been really impressed with Rotkee kit. Have you done any more with this vibration sensor?

Solid training
Hi great video could you use this to disgnoise noisey wheel bearing or engine gearbox noises ?
Not sure, I understand this is an ultrasonic sensor, so might be too sensitive, or not effective. Be better getting some cheap piezo elements and glueing them to croc clips. Or get chassis ears; i love that tool for noises
Yeah looked at chassis ears but wireless ones are expensive which make ones do you have?
@@danielgreenbaum8875 I just used to used the old wired ones. Think they were original brand. Yes, not cheap.
Maybe Hantek rotkee can come up with a decent automotive lead set?
Great video, seems like this would work well to use this as a synch for a relative compression test.
Great question, I don’t think so. On the diesel we usually disable injection so the pulses wouldn’t be seen during cranking
@@MechanicMindsetare there alternatives to using crankshaft sensor as sync signal for diesel? thank you for great videos:)
It's very good

Works well on GDI where you don’t get such a definitive pintle hump or kink on current ramp 👍
@@MechanicMindset Thanks Darren. That's good to know. Maybe I will have to email Rotkee and tell them to add this cable to my pending order.
@@NextLevelAutoDiagnostics I have them they work great on gas too and can be used dual purpose for noise too.
