Hope? That’s why I have a real problem with “manipulation” in relationships (and TF push/pull, too). When I’m told to “walk away” SO THAT THE OTHER PERSON WILL MISS ME -- I consider that false and manipulative. I haven’t been around a very special person in 35 years. I miss them every single day, and “the space between us” hasn’t brought them any closer to me. It doesn’t seem to help resolve anything between us, nor have I ever found that walking away from someone helped to resolve problems. The best relationship I had started with a TF connection, but when the two of us met each other months later, we found out that we had great communication between us, lots of chemistry, and other shared interests in places, nature, books, family, etc. We enjoyed each other’s company, and had lots of compatibility.
