Even someone who knows nothing about sailing (like me) has to love the excellent content of this channel! Let me tell you, being a music aficionado myself, your choice in music is always on point and really complements the narration of the video perfectly. Please continue making the very best ⛵ video's an thanks for sharing these great adventures with us. 🙏
A couple days ago I was researching small islands for a book I'm writing and designing. I saw your episode where you visited the most crowded island in the world. I watched your episode and i haven't stopped watching since. You guys are truly amazing. I absolutely love what you are doing. You do an excellent job with all aspects of making a movie. Such a fan.
As has been echoed by so many of the folks who follow your adventures, RAN Sailing is the best part of any Friday and today is no different. It made me a bit melancholy to see Malin lower the Maple Leaf, but in the same moment happy for the way the folks in Canada received you. I hope one day RAN will hoist that Maple Leaf once more, until then continued success on this magnificent journey of adventure and discovery.
Hi, your whole trip through Alaska ,B c, and Canada has been epic ,thanks for taking us along with you .BOTH your eyes really sparkle when have the meetings with the local followers and it shows your passion for the places you have visited .fair winds
After you have asked for comments, I don‘t want to hesitate any more in doing so. First of all Thank you so much for all your documentations, experiences and great adventures. It is very pleasant to listen to all your narrations and conversations. One can feel your exitement and fascination. I have started to watch from RAN II and of course nowadays your boatbuilding project. And, a few months ago I started to watch your reports from the beginning, yes from episode 1 on. I am not the youngest any more and also not the healthiest. Just wanted to let you know, that you brighten up every day of mine with your storys. By the way, you made me fall in love with British Columbia. Kind regards from mick, a former seaman in the german merchant navy.
Welcome to the USA...Land of the Free and home of the impatient. 🥴 We have been following since you left Sweden...just keeps getting better and better. ⛵️👍⛵️ Ventos justos e mar calmo ⛵️
Thank you Johan and Malin! I Love Whales and I would like to see us all adopt one each, to keep them alive and help them thrive. I wonder if they find refuge in the inland waterways, to get away from the noise pollution from man and sonar,? they listen and call to each other hundreds of miles apart and sing for us all. Imagine if you were in Love, calling for your Lover?
The inland waterways are a problem too, there's just to many big motor boats everywhere. We'd love to have a hydrophone to be able to listen to them :)
You two are the best on you tube, your so relaxed and informative videos, from the photography to the editing, the whole package is just wonderful. Now the sailing and charting, the cooking the maintenance is just superb as is the local history of the places you visit.... As an old man you make me dream of happy times at night. Thank you Malin and Johan.
Thank you once again for a heartwarming episode. “You don’t get proud of humanity after the stuff you read in here” we all agree and on so many levels. But we can’t lose heart. I suggest you get a kayak for ran but don’t buy a plastic one, get a wooden one that will return to nature when you are too weak to paddle it.
That was the most telling comment I have heard. I am not one to support environmental programs believing each of us carries the responsibility individually to foster the sea and those that live in it.
Welcome to the United States. I hope all the people you meet here will be as nice as our neighbors to the North were. I also hope the paperwork gets straightened out so you can stay longer. As always, great episode.
Really fun to see you guys in our home waters of the Salish Sea (San Juan & Gulf Islands)! Since we are boat-less in Bellingham it is such a treat to watch your videos. Super congratulations on hitting 100k. followers. Cheers! Deidre and Todd Carlson.
As you show us every week, your enthusiasm for exploring, learning and overall adventuring is inspiring and contagious. You often motivate me to do something new & exciting the next day. Thanks for that and your never ending enthusiasm to explore.
The perfect solution to your paperwork delete! Come back north, you've missed so much in the Gulf Islands and Vancouver Island, perhaps Princess Louisa or the West Coast? Beautiful video as always!
Bet you never thought when you started this journey that you would meet so many interesting people and places and get so many followers.....well done 😃😃😃
I like all your comments and situations you both have encountered during your adventure voyages. I am in episode 142. I have been watching you since entering Panama. I wish you both the best of luck and God Bless. I will try to catch up very soon.
Thanks for such an interesting tour of Canada's west coast. Your videos are excellent, with a perfect mix of sailing, sightseeing, and even mundane boat work. I especially enjoy the thoughtful narration. :)
First thing I do is click like, then I watch the video because I know it will be great as usual. We all need to step up and contribute to Johan & Malin. Even if half of the subscribers contributed $2.00 per episode each video we all can be assured that this couple continues to share their journey with us. This is clearly the best Sailing Vlog on youtube.
Another outstanding episode. Carol & I were at Friday Harbor 3 years ago and were amazed at the beauty of San Juan Island. Your presentation of the interesting sites is spot on. You two should be part of National Geographic’s exploration team. Mark & Carol San Francisco
GReat vlog on the last part of Canada and entering the USA. Bummer on the Alaskan folks not doing their job. :( Loved the wale museum. The best part was Malin's smile at about 1:40 into the video in her kyayak. :-) 😊⛵️🚣⚓️🍷👍👌🤘✨
You two have the most relaxing layed back filming and narrating style of ALL of the sailing vlogs, and I Love It. So relaxing and soothing and such a great job of editing, with AMAZING scenery. You guys REALLY DO GREAT WORK. Thank You for taking us along, to see such beauty.
Another Great video. I have watched you from your beginning videos and you both have evolved into really good producers of these films. What an adventure.
Another great episode! What sets Ran sailing from the other sailing videos, is their professionalism, and that they try to include some history, adventure, and culture. I always look forward to Fridays!
Another beautiful video wild on glad you got to meet so many of your subscribers and so many friendly people welcome to the United States hope you get the paperwork straightened out so you can spend more time here great to see you both having such an enjoyable time fairwinds
I hope you have some great memories from Canada, so happy you got to visit. Your whole series from Alaska to Victoria has been fantastic. Cheers from Vancouver!!!
I really enjoyed the Royal BC museum in Victoria. Having grown up on the prairies it was fascinating to learn the indigenous history and how different it was from my local cultures.
Another splendid episode! Love spending Friday evening with you two! Thanks for sharing the beautiful scenery, the history, and your experience with us. Fair winds s/v RAN.
I live just up the Columbia river in St. Helens Oregon it’s very cool you came so far to visit the Pacific Northwest it’s a great place I’ve been a little surprised that it doesn’t seem to be as big of a destination it’s so full of adventure here 👍👍
Looks like you will need to stop back in Canada on your way out to leave the country for 2 weeks. You have to go out the straight anyway. It's like one side of the "road" is USA the other Canada. You are in one of the best places for that to have happened:)
A little bit of history on Tim Hortons. There was a coffee shop chain that started making those little donut thingies about 20 or so years ago. Regular donuts are round with a hole in the center. The company came out with and advertised them " donut holes". Tim Hortons then called timbits.
Hi you guys! I'm Swedish, but I guess you want the comments in English. I am a new subscriber and started watch with ep. 1, and has now reached to Ep. 142. Love to see your journey. I have been dreaming of doing that all of my life, but family came in between, with a wife not interested in sealife. But I have been spending a lot on the water, fishing, always from dawn to dusk, exposing my skin for the sun without protection. Now I'm old and got Malinkt Melanom in my face, and I get terrified seeing you, pale northern people, (like me) almost never wears a hat! (A cap isn't enough) Have Johan checked his mark on his cheek? My cancer started with a spot, looking exact like his. ( I have had two operations including transplantation and is now regarded as free from cancer) Worried greetings, Roffe, Stockholm.
I imagine you have mentioned it in an earlier video; but what is the brand name of your new waterproof rain gear.....and do you recommend them? As always, keep doing what your doing & don't change a thing. I am a daily viewer and enjoy every second. Thank you.

Two life changing events in 1 week! Your first sea kayak experience and your first exposure to TimBits! How can you stand the excitement?
Feeling like Canadians now ;)

Wow! That beats Coperniuos museum in Warszawa by far! Strangely enough!!
(Take note Warsaw! English!)
Thank you for putting Canadian such a great light, so glad I found you guys, wonderful video as ever
A little bit of history on Tim Hortons. There was a coffee shop chain that started making those little donut thingies about 20 or so years ago. Regular donuts are round with a hole in the center. The company came out with and advertised them " donut holes". Tim Hortons then called timbits.
My mother used to make donut holes when I was a kid..55 years ago. Many kids of my age then enjoyed them. They aren’t a “new thing”.
That is one good museum in Victoria.
