Great idea , I did the same process but with a high lift for jeep , good trick is to soak the dirt around it for good 30 minutes

Did something similar, but I used a pressure washer to loosen and lubricate the footing. Works real well but is a little messy.

Nothing like working around 50 pound concrete blocks and steel jacks barefooted

If you have a pressure washer, you can loosen out the dirt right to the bottom. But I like your ingenuity using car jacks. !🤔

When the wood still good inside the concrete but many times you have rotted wood all the way down then need to do something else. Usually a lot of digging.

How did you drill into the concrete?

I don't think he did, he drilled into the wood that remained in the post.

It is called a D-shaped anchor. In the trailer supply section of the store. They are usually mounted on trailers as tie down for chain.

works great if the wood isn't rotten.

Don't mean to be unkind, but you spent all day lifting out Two concrete post foundations? You could do it in an hour or so with a spade

If a monkey has an idea, and uses something as a tool.... Did the "lord" give him that idea ?

Weird comment from my perspective. Come to New Zealand and people go everywhere in bare feet. It’s got nothing to do with money either. Maybe try it it’s good for you. And don’t bring up the safety thing. We can’t sue in Nz so it’s not a big deal.
