  • This Whelen is located at the St. Joe Township offices off of Maplecrest Road north of St. Joe Center Road. Allen County tested on time today, and you can even hear New Haven's sirens going off. ARES was doing a radio check on the sirens so you'll hear them throughout the video.
One thing I didn't expect is this being the cabinet being set to run dual tone, this is the only dual tone Whelen in the county that I know of so far.
I tried this siren in April of 2016, but the county canceled since rain was in the area.
Sirens in Allen County are tested on the first Wednesday of every month at Noon.

Interesting. That sounds more like it just has problems to me though. xD

you can hear a 60hz buzz right before it starts up. Sounds like a connection issue.

I thought the same thing when I went to a 2016. It had the same problem. It’s battery issues.

Sounds like dual tone with bad batteries or blown drivers to me. In any case, happy new year!

low batters, my 2016 dose the same thing with air horn when the voltage dips under 21 volts so most likely low battery's
