How do you review your pictures and videos? Like can u review them on the camera or do u have to remove the SD card and bring it home?

I take the SD card out and bring it home but in test mode the manual says you can manually take pictures , videos or playback photos I haven't tried this feature yet so I'm not sure how good it works.
