    Having played a handful of games with Mr. House as my commander, he needs some sort of protection. My pod was quick to identify him as a threat, and running a Swiftfoot Boots or Lightning Greaves helps a lot in this respect.

    Man, I wish Iron Mastiff worked like it reads.
    The ‘Ignore all the the highest roll’ part means that you only get one d20 per turn, not three. It’s a worse Chaos Dragon, though it still gets you a d20 roll every turn.

      @@richardcahyadi8740No, each player rolls a D20. So if you're in a 4 player game, you and your three opponents all roll

    Love to see this brew! I’ve been planning on brewing Mr House as soon as I saw him. You might want to take a look at the rulings for dice rolling but as far as i know if the card states to ignore dice that have been rolled you act as tho they were never rolled in the first place, thus Mr House can’t trigger off of them.

    • @mrbonlino
      @mrbonlino 6 месяцев назад +1

      This would be true for the card you cast that requested the dice roll. For example, Chaos channeler requests the d20 die roll. Chaos channeler with barbarian class only cares about the final dice chosen to resolve its affect, but mr house is a triggered ability from both dice being rolled, as hes seeing them both being rolled.
      However, if you were to use mr house's ability with barbarian class, now mr house is the one making the request to roll the dice and utilising barbarian class' ability, and he doesnt see the dice being rolled from advantage as its regarding his ability resolving. Or at least, this is how i understand it.
      Tl;dr my understanding is it depends if another card is requesting the advantage die roll, or mr house himself from his ability whether or not he sees the advantage die roll to trigger his dice ability

    • @Jack_Hurst
      @Jack_Hurst 6 месяцев назад +3

      @@mrbonlino Mr. House will only trigger on the higher of the two rolls, as the lowest is ignored. The ruling comes from Krark's Other Thumb from (Unstable).
      "The ignored roll never happened as far as any other effect is concerned. For example, an ability that triggers “whenever you roll a die” won’t trigger for the ignored roll."

    You can't double the extra dice with Illusionist bracers, but you could double the triggers with a roaming throne and double the tokens to of course.

    Cards to look at that weren't mentioned are Neyali, Sun's Vanguard which gives attacking tokens double strike and gives impulse draw when tokens attack players. Lotho, Corrupt Shirriff, Monologue Tax, and Smuggler's Share which will all give a nice treasure income and Mahadi, Emporium Master, who will reward aggression.5D6 will grant you 1 treasure and 2 to 3 3/3 tokens. You need to get more treasure income into the deck to take advantage of that.

    Your list is too unfocused. You need to drop the fluff and focus on the core of the deck. If it doesn't roll dice, make treasures, ramp, or give card advantage, get it out of your list. Your play test play pattern was suboptimal also. You don't want to drop Mr. House until you have triggers ready to go. Mr. House wants some sweet boots too because your deck falls apart without him, and he enjoys haste.

    • @swawslord
      @swawslord 6 месяцев назад +1

      No you NEED him out ASAP his low mana cost let's you live with commander cost. Mr. House is your engine and an outlet. But I do agree with you on the fluff.

      Andrew, do you have a list for this deck? I saw some comments from you on other videos and I would appreciate to see. Trying to make the best version of this deck, thanks.

    house is a 3 mana artifact you dont need protection so much as any recursion. Battle of Hoover Dam, teshar, recommission, sevinne's reclamation etc.

    idk what idea is better for this deck... in the video you focus in get robots and tresures to kill the enemy with a horde of them.... but you can also make direct damage to any target just for create tokens or creatures etc.... so i cant dicide what to do... :C i just want a casual fun deck... any suggestion for me ??? thanks

    Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe copying his ability won't roll additional dice since the copy didn't use treasure to pay for it.

    • @decktechsfordecks
      @decktechsfordecks  6 месяцев назад

      A copy will copy the values as well. Like when you copy an x spell it’ll copy what x was on the stack 😁

      Sorry to say, but your reasoning, while the intuitive one, conflicts with past rulings. Cards like Dawnglow Infusion, Bring to Light, and the cycle of "Mythos of..." cards do not have their extra effects when copied.
      from CR707.10 and one of its examples:
      "...If an effect of the copy refers to objects used to pay its costs, it uses the objects used to pay the costs of the original spell or ability. A..."
      but this only applies to things like permanents sacrificed/counters removed as part of a cost. Mr. House's ability only looks at the mana **edited here for clarity**
      "Example: Dawnglow Infusion is a sorcery that reads, “You gain X life if {G} was spent to cast this spell and X life if {W} was spent to cast it.” Because mana isn’t an object, a copy of Dawnglow Infusion won’t cause you to gain any life, no matter what mana was spent to cast the original spell."

      If you happen to have a ruling or something that causes this card to not be part of that thing in the CR, I would appreciate knowing it so I don't have to argue with other people since the wording is far too similar to those other cards for my/their comfort.
      edit: **It occurs to me that my comment comes off really rude, coming in and making demands. I'm just legitimately curious.

    Iron Mastiff is not that great. You ignore all but the highest roll, so you only get one trigger. Ancient Copper Dragon and Hoarding Ogre are probably the two cards with highest synergy for the deck as they both roll a D20 and make treasure which is both of the things the deck wants to do.
