He may not be the best aus lyricist/MC atm but the way he came up and totally changed how aus rap is that’s why he is at the top of the aus rap game.N he really made himself and his career . Look at his kinda early songs, I am kerser, stepping stone, 8 inch blade, Campbelltown,do the kers, good weed etc, At that time he was still underground but was putting out so much music and had a new aus hip hop sound which was the most original coming out of Sydney maybe even aus at the time, Then like 2 years later kerser is the sickest came out and was kinda a meme but it blew him the fuck up. And everybody knew who he was. Then he dropped so much more music consistently more than anybody else in the scene at the time and all the songs were a new sound and he keep it 100, he told his real story. Even over the years he’s subject matter changed but He kept it 100. I could keep going but kerser will always be the king of aus rap.

Exactly how my view on Kerser is, I was listening to him in 2011 when I was young and watching him come up and take over the Aus scene was sick! Kerser will always be the most renowned in Oz!

Kerser is the KING of Australian rap, he literally set the trend, for all the rappers these days, he gave Australian hip hop a name. the fact your reacting to this shows that his the man. also you seen his style he also set the fashion trend aswell. been bumping kers since i was 13. ive also messaged kerser on his facebook/email cant remember now, but back in the day i reached out and he replied with some real shit. respect to kerser will always be my idol, he will bring a smile to ya face whenever you down.
I'm sorry be he didn't give Australian hip-hop a name. Def Wish Cast and Cross Bred Mongrels started Aussie rap back in the late 1980s when Kerser was a baby. 1200 Techniques and Hilltop Hoods were the first Aussie hip-hop groups to make a name for themselves in the mainstream in the early 2000s. Kerser dropped his first MIXTAPE in 2009 and by the time his album came, PEZ, Drapht, Illy, 360, Bliss N Eso, Seth Sentry and a lot of other Aussies had gained commercial success and INTERNATIONAL fan bases.
All respect to Kerser though, 'cause he is a good artist but you can't say he gave the genre a name when the Hilltop Hoods had three PLATINUM albums before he even RELEASED one.

@@mastaroshi23 Hunter was the backbone of Perth hip-hop basically. He was a vital part of the Syllabolix crew which raised the likes of Downsyde, Clandestien, Drapht and Layla.
These guys were coming up around the late '90s and peaked in the mid '00s.

I've been a bit harsh to aus hh and haven't really peeped much since the 360/bias/kerser/blissneso days (early 10's) when I was younger, then seeing it go full grime/lad (clearly kerser/UK inspired artists) and I couldn't vibe to it.
But then seeing artists like Alex.jones,WOMBAT,Huskii,chillin,Shadow,Scotty Hinds has made me get real keen for the future of aus rap, COMPLETE in particular makes me want to learn more about perth's scene

I first heard of Kerser slightly before his battle with 360 I’ve witnessed his come up, I’ve tried to give him a few chances, I’ve got a few friends that listen to him but I jus can’t vibe with his sound, I find it very basic and annoying and I do like that street shit, I’m a fan of LC, Broken Tooth, Flowz an all that but Kers ain’t nothing special for me I personally think Rates & Fortay shred him, but I appreciate ya point man, it’s good to see someone bringing some actual fair arguments instead of just saying “he’s tha sickest brah”
