I picked up snakes and spiders all the time, I rode all the biggest roller coasters in my state, hell I use to wake up at 4 in the morning when I was 8 grab my little 4/10 shotgun and go sit in the woods waiting for a deer.
It didn't used to be that way... the launch used to pin your head to the seat and just about knock the wind out of you. Kingda Ka in New Jersey is the only place to get that now. They turned it into a kiddy coaster IMO.

That being said, you can tell the two in this video are over-exaggerating and it makes me nauseous to watch lol.

You notice how there is nobody waiting in line? or walking? This is so nobody gets hit if their film equipment flies off. The people that are on the ride are on it because they volunteered. Normal parkgoers wouldn't ever get this experience riding with reviewers anyways.

You have to be really careful with hands up on the launch. I smacked myself in the face on the first Dragster, and don't recommend doing that. It stings lol. Once it's going up, hands up isn't a problem after that.
In theory, I like this redesign. I've never managed to get a rollback (I was one train ahead of one on my first time riding TTD) so that's sweet. But for me, I can't imagine anything will replace the thrill of doing 0-120mph from a dead stop before hitting that first vertical. The acceleration was always shocking to me.
I have been on TTD many times in the front. I have ridden many coasters that were more intense than the one in the vid. Of course, I would not turn down money for doing something I enjoy.
I’m heading up there to ride it this weekend for opening day at CP. I can’t wait, it looks absolutely amazing! Edit: honestly, it didnt meet my expectations; it exceeded them. I can’t describe the face-melting feeling you feel rocketing forward at 120 mph in the front row, it’s like nothing i’ve ever experienced before. i was the 6th train dispatched on opening day and oh boy can i say it was worth waking up very early in the morning for. personally, i think if you get a good ride in the front row, it’s better than steel vengeance. this might be different for others who aren’t formula one fans, but the theming is amazing. the walls in the queue are made to look like the barriers and cages at the edge of an f1 track, but they also converted the old traffic light into grid lights that go out on launch. they also have some awesome merch that resembles and f1 jersey with sponsors such as “vengeance labs” and “blue streak motor oil.” I went on it 8 times in total while i was there, got a hoodie and a poster, plus i met taylor and sarah from coaster studios. very awesome coaster, highly recommend riding it whenever you can.

Cedar Pointe is probably the most underrated park in America. If you are into major thrills that will put a hair on your chest even if you're a lady, this is the park to visit. It is as Worthy a destination as Disney or any other major park. I promise you will love it.

Was fortunate enough to visit Cedar Point in October 2001. I was an exchange student from England visiting Mentor Ridge Junior high school. It was an epic experience. ❤

Be careful with that twist on the tophat. It flies over the hill now. It threw me out the side and I was stuck leaning out the side and thought I broke my back. It was genuinely scary. Then i went on 3 more times lol. But yeah, this is probably the one coaster I'll keep my arms down and hold on going down the hill. And I'm at Cedar Point every week.
The original Top Thrill was insane. There was no pre launch. You went from the position they started at to 120 without the rollback. They wouldn’t even start the ride until everyone’s hands were down because it would literally snap your elbows from the launch.

First of all, they never indicate,imply, or impose superiority in any aspect, it’s their version of simply enjoying the ride, akin to some being quiet or subtly screaming, the only difference is they have a habit of assessing certain ride segments to it’s time correlation. When I explain it in depth it isn’t annoying, or indicating implying people are oblivious, this is entirely un-condemnable, and is a mere habit just as you have. Secondly doing this like I’ve said is more likely to be a habit and a personal form of being constructive, however even if they were intentionally attempting to be informative, there’s nothing condemning in doing so nor is it condemnable, in logical premise, it is not an indication of implying anything superiority related as you terribly and fallaciously interpret. Yet again, nothing wrong with doing so and is easily ignorable, and doesn’t affect you psychologically. Thirdly, you’re terribly misinterpreting this and deeming your misunderstood baseless assumptions and presuppositions as objective when in reality only affects you if you allow it to which it shouldn’t even affect you in principle. In conclusion, instead of jumping to conclusions, analyze the situation, reasoning, and it’s affect on anybody, and ethically in this case it has 0 effect on anybody , if it does it’s contributing positively. Stop making baseless unsubstantiated assertions and stop using the “either or” fallacy, admittedly there might be 3% of people who do this in attempts of superiority or enlightenment however it’s unlikely to be the case and even if so is highly insignificant and unsubstantiated.
Depending on the wind or if the track wasn't warmed up enough, you could get a rollback on TTD and get a second launch. Now it always gets a rollback. Lol. At the expense of being kinda slow feeling compared to the original.
This ride looks so amazing! Only thing I disagree with is that it’s not the “elusive rollback” we all dreamed of. Not even by half. But the reverse spike looks amazing!!

Initial launch looks lame, but starting with the rollback, the rest of the ride looks good.

There's definitely a serious issue with the trains. The amount of lateral shaking is pretty wild. You can see how it moves people's heads around side to side.
