Well done! I also need to do this on my 1982 MacGregor 25 and now I know how. Thank you

Nice job, Dave. I need to do the exact same thing on my C14.2. Will you have to lower the trailer winch to best align bow eye with the winch cable drum 'elevation'? 14.2 has opening on bow deck enclosure. Will use little grandson to work inside. Thanks.

@@leegardner4692 I did lower the winch on the trailer. Luckily, most things on a boat trailer are “bolt on,” so it was just a matter of loosening one bolt and sliding the winch down a few inches on the stand.

Do you ever consider a bow sprit? I do on my sanibel 18 for a possible small asymetric spinnaker.

@@tinycmo I don’t think I’ll ever fly a spinnaker in Colorado. The winds here are too unpredictable to be flying that much sail area. The P-16 already has an extremely high sail area to displacement ratio (SA/disp) of 46.52. That’s higher than the Buccaneer 18 (44.51) and nearly as high as the much lighter Laser (47.90). In fact, the Laser has about half the sail area and half the weight of the P-16. I think the P-16 would be unmanageable with a spinnaker in all but the very lightest of breeze. ⛵️
