Love everything u do! I think the issue with the milk paint is that u don't mix it long enough .get a little milk frother and mix it for a couple mins.😊
Thank you for the every day decor flips. There’s a lot of seasonal content “out there”, but very little regular creations. Thanks for your inspiration.
I love to watch year round DIYs.🥰 As much as I love seasonal decor I don’t use it as much now that I’m older. I have an autoimmune disease as well so It’s just more work to take out and put away. Thanks for more inspiration.🥰🥰🥰
Hiiii! I tried the milk paint and it did crackle, I followed how the provincial farmhouse mixes it😊 . The tiered tray turned out gorgeous and perfect for a kitchen😊❤
I love that you're not being a slave to the seasonal DIY Decor. I wish the other DIY channels would do the same. It gets kind of monotonous seeing pumpkin after pumpkin and now Christmas tree after Christmas tree. I love DIYs that you could display in your home all year round.
Aw love seeing Hanky boy, and loved all the color choices, the green and that blue on the clock wow, and loved the table with the owl, great work lady tfs. Big Thumbs Up 👍🥰🙏
Haven’t watched up but excited for home decor that isn’t a pumpkin or Santa! Back to say that I am SO glad to see you continue to use COLOR! That owl decoupage paper is magnificent.❤️
Watching the replay to see what I missed during the live chat because I can't type and watch the video at the same time 😊. All projects turned out gorgeous as always. Can't wait for your next video.
The decoupaged owl crate table is to die for "gorga", especially the way you staged it with the box and brass candleholders! ❤👍😊❤. Thank you for sharing your talent with us Sammie!
Beautiful pieces Sammie! The crate table is so unique and the owl decoupage is awesome 🤍. I need to practice with that more. And try milk paint .... one day ...
I know you watch Ginger Chick Rehab, she says repeatedly that milk paint is unpredictable. She also does a 2nd coat and using antiquing glaze to bring out crackling we can’t see! I am on the double decker struggle bus with the rusting stuff that she uses! 😂 these projects are beautiful! Keep creating what you want when you want!
I do like milk paint but it’s very unpredictable. I still love the look of it. You should watch Ginger Chick Rehab and how she explains it. She uses it a lot. I will say I get better crackle results from fusion milk paint than sweet Pickens.
The Target little tier tray wood is probably made of bamboo. I had the same problem with a piece of bamboo wood. So keep that in mind because I sure did.
I love milk paint but like you chippy is a struggle. I did see one creator use Dixie belle clear boss as a base and it crackled amazing. I haven’t tried yet but I’m going to. Salvation solution may be an equivalent.
I just purchased milk paint but haven't used it yet. From what I've researched, you need to whisk it for at least two minutes; I've seen people use a milk frother, the kind you use for cappuccino.
The tiered tray had a wax finish. That's why your transfer would not stick. I could see it. Do you think the humidity could be keeping your milk paint from thickening? Ask Bri. There is a lot of humidity in your area and I know it affects paint. I like the look of the milk paint but in my research, I found that humidity is a huge factor. I might try it but I want to research and find out what I need to do for it to work for me. It's weird how the weather is a factor in painting anything.
I get my crackle by applying two coats of milk paint I put the first coat on then heat dry it then apply the second coat then apply heat to it again then that’s when the crackle will happen it works for me every time.
It's good to know I'm not the only one who can't get the hang of milk paint. I just don't like it, don't like the finish you get and am absolutely a failure with it. My sister loves it.
I love that you are doing everyday DIY's mixed throughout the seasonal ones. It provides a nice change from what everyone else is doing.
Thank you Nancy! I love doing them! Allows me to dip into the colors I love
I'm genuinely enthralled by your video! - "Challenges are the stepping stones to personal growth and success."
Thank you so very much!!!
You do whatever you want!!
Hank is a total vibe. ❤
I love Hank too ❤❤❤
And more Hank please. I have a bloodhound myself (Mavis) that loves to “help” me craft and paint. Just gonna say. They are the sweetest breed ever
Thank you for doing some regular (not Christmas) diys 😊
Everyday thrift upcycles 😀🤎🧡
Love everything u do! I think the issue with the milk paint is that u don't mix it long enough .get a little milk frother and mix it for a couple mins.😊
Yes probably so .. great tip. I didn't notice but yes. It needs to get frothy and you have to mix it up a bit. Patience. Don't be in such a hurry
Love the blue clock! Totally unexpected.😊
💙
This could still count as a Christmas video. They're Christmas gifts! 😁
Loved your projects. My favorite was the blue clock. Amazing!!
Thank you for the every day decor flips. There’s a lot of seasonal content “out there”, but very little regular creations. Thanks for your inspiration.
Always my pleasure Lisa! Thank you for watching
Thank you Sammie, finally some "unseasonal" inspirations again. Loved them all ❤
It doesn't matter if it is holiday or every day diys, I love your creativity.
Aww thank you for the kind words Sarah
That table is gorgeous. I have been looking at picking up that owl, now I really want it. Thanks, Sammie, for showing that beautiful paper!

The corbels, and the candlesticks came out really good. I think they look good.❤ thank you

I do too! And girl do I have a stash that I need to get through haha. Putting that on hold for a few months for seasonal decor can't happen LOL
Aw love seeing Hanky boy, and loved all the color choices, the green and that blue on the clock wow, and loved the table with the owl, great work lady tfs. Big Thumbs Up 👍🥰🙏

Thanks for showing DIY projects. I just think about donations. Now I m going to give them a new life.
Yes! New life! It's amazing how paint can change an entire look
All nice. Love the table.
The decoupaged owl crate table is to die for "gorga", especially the way you staged it with the box and brass candleholders! ❤👍😊❤. Thank you for sharing your talent with us Sammie!
Thank you for watching Evelyn! I love creating for y'all
I only get chipping wen I use my heat gun ,the longer you leave it on an area the more it chips and cracks,be careful not to burn your projects though
Awesome! That table WOW!
Great projects, with not a pumpkin in sight👍😂😂 Love the blue clock that’s a beautiful color! Good to see Hank is being his usual shedding self! 💕💕💕💕
LOL no girl! We need a break from the pumpkins haha
Beautiful pieces Sammie! The crate table is so unique and the owl decoupage is awesome 🤍. I need to practice with that more. And try milk paint .... one day ...
The clock is gorgeous! I love it!
Thank you so very much!
For the table I’d add some brown paint and water type stain to darken it and match the top more. 😊
I love the blue clock!
Thank you so much Rhonda!

Thank you for your beautiful crafts. I love the table. Please try to stay "unseasonable" until at least Christmas!

Loveeee that table❤
I love the table!! I haven't found what I want to use my owl on yet. It's so pretty! You're amazing as usual girl! 💜😊
I want to use it on the front of a dresser eventually! I know you will create something fabulous with it

I will try that next time! I couldn't recall if I saw Bri do two coats so I just went with the one but I will give it a go next time! Thanks Kelli!
You are another talented Creator
Thank you so much for the kind words Fiona!
Everything came out great ❤
Thank you so much Emily!

Great video! Always love your content!
Very talented love your work!!!
Thank you so much Deborah😀
Love these Sammie!
All your projects are so nice Maybe try 2 coats of milk paint
I just love the owl table. Do you ever find anything nautical that you refurbish? How do I look your store up on Amazon? Thanks for sharing.😊
I do like milk paint but it’s very unpredictable. I still love the look of it. You should watch Ginger Chick Rehab and how she explains it. She uses it a lot. I will say I get better crackle results from fusion milk paint than sweet Pickens.
I agree…Love Yvonne on Ginger Chick Rehab. She’s very knowledgeable with milk paint.
Did you use the heat gun to dry the milk paint? That helps me. I love the milk paints.
I love it like it is. It's beautiful Clara Stafford Shelby NC
Thank yo uso very much Clara! !
Love your ideas❤
Glad you like them Sabrina! Thank you for watching girlie
The Target little tier tray wood is probably made of bamboo. I had the same problem with a piece of bamboo wood. So keep that in mind because I sure did.
Ahhh yes! I remember the bamboo cutting boards from dollar tree and nothing would stick to those! Thanks Jeanette!
So SOOO GLAD to hear U will craft what U want when U want🌞I don't like all this Xmas stuff being shoved down my throat already. 🌞🌞
LOL it's everywhere and although I love it, I also love every day crafting and flipping
I love milk paint but like you chippy is a struggle. I did see one creator use Dixie belle clear boss as a base and it crackled amazing. I haven’t tried yet but I’m going to. Salvation solution may be an equivalent.
The milk paint might not have chipped because of the base coat? Love the blue on that clock!
I was waiting for “Gorga” 😆
Question the IOD transfers you used in the first DIY are they on your website?
I just purchased milk paint but haven't used it yet. From what I've researched, you need to whisk it for at least two minutes; I've seen people use a milk frother, the kind you use for cappuccino.
Are you using tap water for your milk paint? If you are on a well, maybe there is some mineral in it that is affecting the paint.
Hmm could be. It's the basement sink so that could be a thing! I'll try another source of water next time. Thanks Patricia
Hey I got those same leggings!❤
I love walmart leggings! They are soooo soft and cheap haha
@@UnicornDustDesigns couldn’t agree more!!

Milk paint - I think Bri does two coats and heats both (sometimes)? (I have no experience so ignore me 😅 but just brainstorming) ❤
Could the salt wash have interfered with the crackle on the corbel?
I have never tried milk paint, not really sure if I like chippy!
Well Becky ... it doesn't chip for me LOL .. I'll keep trying though
It's me again your dancing queen. 💃
I get my crackle by applying two coats of milk paint I put the first coat on then heat dry it then apply the second coat then apply heat to it again then that’s when the crackle will happen it works for me every time.
Milk paint is so random it does or it doesn't sis. And sometimes you have to do two coats?? I feel so bad your having a hard time with it
Girl! One day I will master this dang paint I tell ya!
Camp fires are my entire existence, lol
It's good to know I'm not the only one who can't get the hang of milk paint. I just don't like it, don't like the finish you get and am absolutely a failure with it. My sister loves it.
Isn't it crazy? I see Bri do it all the time and she gets such a beautiful finish! I have tried it numerous times and cannot get it to do what I want!
Glue wax Vaseline hair spray is a lot cheaper and it works
Hello everyone!!
Heat gun with milk paint gives u the crackle
I used the heat gun ... like really close and it still wouldn't crackle for me
@@UnicornDustDesigns awee boo it’s so unpredictable
I was told you have to sand those services first before anything will stick.
Ahhh I will give that a try next time Maggie. Thank you!
P.s. I have not tried the mil paint. There are other ways to achieve the look.
