They took their time developing and building character ( Badger Bob included) in that room that led to a Cup and NHL AllStar who’s who for the next 15 yrs+. Gary is a product of that era .He gave everything he had to Flames as a player and was tough as hell - nobody wanted a piece of him. He left it all on the Saddledome ice. He was a character guy, a warrior and proved it everywhere he played afterwards. Happy for Robs post Calgary career. What a comeback on and off the ice. A class act NHL legend imo Love and respect Roberts

I was a season ticket holder for the flames in the late 80s early 90s. Loved Roberts all around great player tough as nails. Although i do recall a tilt I believe in 90’ between Roberts and a pretty tough kid name of Joey kocur at the Saddledome happend right in front of me. I can still hear the right hand that Kocur landed on Roberts and put him down hard everyone was in disbelief that he got up. Good ole days
