    They usually power up once you put the fluid in from new and your charger is at zero as the battery is fully charged..

    Safest thing to do is premix your fuel and dont rely on injection system

      I agree with you. A guy was just curious to see if it was actually working. Shoot I was surprised it fired up so easy. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    Yooo Mikey! Greetings from Victoria BC Canada. Try a crimp for aircraft cable in the end of that throttle cable. I use them to make throttle cable extensions...work like a hot damn.. not sure if they will fit but it's worth a shot.get the crimps for 1/16th cable

    I can tell that a guy also partakes in the movie pictures from that vice grip fellow, and ya also thought a yamasakihopper would be a pocket book - friendly rebuild project. I'm gonna talk normal now but I just wanna say respect haha I didn't think there were others built like me haha

    The oil line goes where you plugged the "vacuum" and if she wants throttle to start adjust your throttle stop screw on the carb.

    • @Mikeyw
      @Mikeyw  Год назад +1

      Oops! I’ll have to change that around! I just put it back together the way it was when I got it. Most times that works! And since I made this video I’ve adjusted the carb and got it to run and fire up really smooth! Thanks for the insight I appreciate it!

      I can’t find your other comment but I can see it in my email. And I thought something wasn’t right with that throttle cable.. I’ll have to fine that junction block so i can fix that and ride it much easier! Thanks for watching and the information! I hope you subscribed!

      @@Mikeyw Dang youtube was giving me trouble posting that. Here's a link to the complete throttle cable assembly. Yamaha used the box to control the throttle and oil pump at same time. So more throttle = more gas AND more oil. Well I'll put the link in another reply. Your video reminds me of my first qt50. It was red too. I still have it. I had to use the oil tank for gas because the gas tank was too rusty. It didn't have brakes so my buddy and I were Flintstoning it around the neighborhood. It took forever to first start it. Throttle cable was broken. But it was fun!

      Awesome! I appreciate that. I was on the hunt for just the cable and I would have been upset if I bought it and was still missing a piece to do it properly!

      Thanks! I definitely learned that over the course of the video. First timer lol! I like the 4 wheels (cars and trucks) better, but I learned these can be fun too!

    What kind of oil goes where the seat is? And what kind of transmission oil goes in the engine?

    • @Mikeyw
      @Mikeyw  Год назад

      The oil under the seat is 2-cycle oil. And that is the oil that goes in the engine. It mixes in with the gas in the carburetor to lubricate the engine.. I hope this was helpful!

    • @salute1592
      @salute1592 Год назад

      @@Mikeyw Yes thank you. Also, how much 2-cycle engine oil goes into it?

    • @Mikeyw
      @Mikeyw  Год назад

      Into the tank? You just fill it. The carburetor sucks it in as necessary. No mixing needed. But if you don’t trust that I’m sure you can mix it into the gas as per the instructions that come with the 2 cycle oil.

    When some one say *honestly.* I don't believe you are *honest.* hehe
    Abandoned? Stole it you mean. hehe. Even if it look's abandoned. It's someone's. If he is up in the sky, it goes to his kids if he had any or other family member.
    Should return it to police if found, not take it because you think it's abandoned, or sitt for a long time, he maybe stored it for someone else who knows.
    And you maybe get it back if no one claim it with paperwork on it, legally. Technically any one can take it from you now. or are you gonna tell police some toke your bike you toke from someone else without asking, with 0 paper on it. It's an old Yamaha that is worth money today, Maybe he didn't want to sell the bike. _Is it just me that think like this?._

    • @Mikeyw
      @Mikeyw  11 месяцев назад

      That’s one way to think. But what makes you think that everyone in the world is terrible and doesn’t take the steps do thing’s properly? And it’s definitely been long enough for the guy that left it at my place to come and get it and that has yet to happen. Im pretty sure in the terms of the law if something is left behind for more then 24 hours on private property it’s legally abandoned. This has been at my house for 3 years.The few dollars I spent to get it running was worth the content I made that will potentially make me 10 times what the Yamaha ever would. Thanks for watching and commenting sorry it took awhile to respond got lots going on. Subscribe to see more!
