Good Team Talk from Coach Sammy. The players need to understand the importance of reading the game and choosing their moments. Several of our key senior players should be able to do this but they keep making the wrong decisions and choosing the wrong balls and bowlers to attack.

This is much deeper problem than just the team. We need to solve this problem at grassroots and club level. You can’t expect these players to have the bad habit of doting up balls and them all of a sudden want them to change that in the national team. Just not gonna work. It’s only now that I realized that I had a dot ball problem when I was young but the coaches never said anything about it.

They not rotating the strike, too many times, depending on hitting 4s and 6s,as if well a bowler will just send a ball on their bat to hit for 6.i can't understand in T20 match,where you got 120 balls to pal around with, and to have 57 dot balls, is a crime against the cricket game.

57 balls not scored off of means close to 10 overs west indies didnt score a single run from, which mean something went wrong with their whole strategy, and their approach to run scoring
What went wrong was the wickets, it's normal to have alot of dot balls when ur 4 down in powerplay

Don't blame Darren for nothing, windies players should have done far much better playing at home. So,that's behind us now, let's look forward to future games.

Overall, the interest from the players has improved. However, dot ball consumption is to much, team selection could and should have been better. The loss to England was crucial. Lastly,,we need to have players who are involved in a tournament need to stay focussed and keep their eyes on that prize

Our bowlers are doing what is expected of them...but our batsman need to make more wise decisions and learn to rotate strike not only look for sixes....like on the bright side. Prepare for 2026.
Sammy has to make better decisions for the team, having Charles there for so long wasn't helping us. Shepherd shouldn't have been back on the team after the group stage flop. Powell needs to make better decisions at the crucial times. You guys made us proud and I strongly believe we can go far again in 2026 in India and Sri Lanka

I love the West Indies team but Sammy destroyed what could have been a great world cup for our guys in maroon by not playing Johnson Charles against south Africa. That was Sammy's greatest downfall.

Sammy I told you before the world cup was started that based on the selection of the players, that is the key 🗝️ factor. Because of the senior former players around the team , they are going to caused a lot of problems in selection of the players. They haveto get rid of man like Desmond Haynes from the selection of players.It is a very good time that Jamaica should hopped out of cricket cwi organization, because they are sabotaging the cricket and the players in Jamaica. There is not one game played in Jamaica as the largest English speaking country, and the largest population and. That is totally unacceptabl and,I am older than Desmond Haynes. Also a lot of them around the team talking a lot of rubbish, because I want to know when. All the islands haveto advocate for the games, because since the ESPN signed the contract. Cwi management is playing most of the games in the smaller islands and, they were not the original country. Where test was playing before you was born Sammy, Antigua was the first country in the smaller islands. That they play test cricket because of Viv Richards and, the island is very small. Which cannot sustain a high level cricket match there, because they does not have the kind of gates receipts. I know that there are a lot of cyber bullies out there,who does not want to hear the gospel truth. How can you have a wc and gave Jamaica not one game, this is not the fc in the region. The very first wc played in North America continent, the opening games them played in Jamaica. I was on a talk show and when I heard people from T&T and other islands,is telling me. That Jamaica does not have a ground to play test cricket,I was pissed off. Because Jamaica is the only country in the region which 3 grounds,in one compound or property. Which can host 3 cricket games at the same time, even up by the national stadium 🏟️ which is the largest field in the region.With a capacity to accommodate 35,000 seating which is larger than Sabina Park and, there are 3 fields is by the national stadium,central stadium 🏟️,east and west field. Jamaica have hundreds of young players and not, really getting any form of opportunities to show off their talents. I know that you are going to have some stupid people,is going to say. That Jamaica alone cannot go on their own, when you looked at some of those teams at the WC. They are far beyond lower standard that Jamaica, just like Afghanistan wasn't a cricketing country and. Causes a few upset in the WC beating the mighty Australia,it is full time that the JCA should applied to the ICC for membership. It is almost a hundred countries in the ICC as a associate members, and they play their way up just like the United States and Canada, Kenya just to mentioned a few of them. It is almost a hundred years since the wi team was formed in 1928 and from day one, there are a lot of animosity. When the first test match played in Barbados and, they demonstrated against George Headley . Saying that he shouldn't being play over players in Barbados, so I am using this as an example. To show you guys from when the problems was started,it is full time Jamaica should break away. Because cwi management is trying to sabotage the cricket in Jamaica,it is over 4 years no cpl, test cricket stop playing in Jamaica for no apparent reasons. After the government and the private sectors spend $45 million USA dollars to upgraded Sabina Park 🏞️ ground,by replacing the lighting system.
