    Very cool. Really appreciate that you did the voiceover and explained what you were doing at each step of the carving and what the result of that cut was intended to be. It's always a pleasure to see your artistic creations. Thanks for posting

    Many times, right after I watch one of your videos, I end up my workshop. This time was another one of these instances. I went, picked up a piece of chestnut and a knife and made my own "Gandalf". As it was a first one it took me a bit more than 15 minutes, but I will practice to get there 😁
    Many thanks for the inspiration ♥

    I would end up with just a load of small bits of wood that wood need a Wizard to cast a spell to put them back in the right shape.

    They're wonderful! I'm fascinated at how the face can be broken down into triangles and refined with even more triangles. Your control of the blade is amazing. Thank you for sharing these rustic fellows.

    Why is my basswood always harder than yours? Nice carvings Andy and explaining the cuts is really useful. Mine would probably end up as 2 or 3 hour cross eyed wizards with wonky beards. Are you demo-ing at Stock Gaylard in August?

    • @AndysCornishCreations
      @AndysCornishCreations  4 месяца назад

      Hi Colin...
      I used to think that about my Basswood... haha...
      It does vary though.. I have had some hard stuff in the past...
      It doesn't matter about the length of time or the result, just how much fun you had making it...
      No... I hadn't heard of Stock Gayland before I looked it up...
      Looks like fun though...
