There have been a handful of things I really wasn't kind to... sometimes there are reasons for things being a certain way, and other times it's just like, "What happened here...?" My LC Blue Ranger helmet just came, and the mouth piece is that nice shiny silver, like Red's should be... but it's a much darker color. That probably drives a lot of people nuts, myself included. But, overall, yeah, this channel was created to do fun creative things with the toys. I don't understand being an adult, spending all of this $$$ on collecting toys, and hating everything. If toys aren't bringing you joy, what's the point?

Not sure what trouble you're having here, but I showed you a comparison to the Bandai sword, which I said was both larger, and heavier. I gave you the specific weights of both items. I showed you a side by side. I showed you the cost and where to buy. I also posted how much Bandai's sword sold for. I went over the features. I also said I thought the sound in Bandai's was better. Hasbro's sword has a really awesome light feature. Should I have not shown the cool stuff then? How is that honest? I gave you all of the info you need to make your own decision. You know, I think it’s pretty neat that you can do the Chrono Saber thing with the Power Sword where you slide your fingers along the blade and it lights up. I don’t know if they’ll ever do a Lightning Collection Chrono Saber, but I think it’d be awesome, but massively expensive due to the fact that it would essentially be two connectable Power Swords with lights that would be red, blue, green, yellow or pink at any given time.
Thanks for the thorough review that hit the important points without delving into the minutia. I would now be convinced to buy one were the price not ridiculous. It is 1.5x the price of the legacy power sword (which I have and love) but it is smaller, uglier (subjective, but it looks more like a toy than a collectible with flat surfaces, added lightning bolts, contrasting and obvious buttons, and bargain electronics), and sounds much worse. The lights aren't worth the 100+ dollar upcharge once fewer materials and smaller dimensions are accounted for. I'd buy it, but I'll be waiting for a sale. It needs to be under $200 and ideally under $150 for me to buy it. Awesome work as always. I am also hoping for a Power Blaster, pipe dream though it may be.
That Hasbro one sounds like you’re watching it on TV, where the Bandai one sounds like you’re listening to the theme song outside of the show. If that makes any sense.
The potential for a power blaster was why I felt like I needed to pick this up, but it is way more enjoyable than I thought it would be. I do wonder why Hasbro is adding these extra details on these later role play items. The Dragon Dagger has lots of extra features compared to the legacy but the design was pretty much screen accurate, but the Power Sword and the Lance have some extra things going on and I wonder of that is just a design choice or if there are other reasons for the embellishments?
I’m tempted to wait for confirmation that they will combine into the power blaster, figure we should know once the power bow is released, since that one would have the most connection points via the lance and the sai/daggers…
Awesome video, Bruno! This did needed more Mia but she's probably working on that thing she's been working for the past 23 years, hopefully she will have it by the time you get the rug. The sound of the sword does sound like a drowning version of the theme song however the sound effects sound really cool! The light up feature is unnecessary however including the weight, this does seem to be awesome for some cosplay photoshoots. IDEALLY you could go for both versions Bandai and Hasbro and have the perfect pics but I'm unsure if someone will spend 220 + over 500 lol I did see some reviews thrashing the sword terribly and I honestly feel if it was like 40 or 60 cheaper, they would not have complained so much. This is a quality product. Is it the perfect collector's quality that you would expect from a 200+ product? Well, no I guess. But some people are just too bitter and consider trashing to be more ''honest''. Like for real, someone got the Hasbro Megazord for about 35 and literally said ''Oh but when it came out it costed this much! Its stupidly over priced and Hasbro is awful''. Have a wonderful week, hope you get the blue thingy as well and it doesn't last 3 years to arrive 😆 (sorry, I know I exaggerated with the time lol).
Bought this for the exact reason you mentioned: I missed out on the Legacy Sword the first time around. I didn't want to make the same mistake twice! I wish I paid a little less for mine, it's not quite as big as I'd like and it's a bit of a shame it doesn't light up on both sides. The light feature *is* cool though! And I'm happy to finally have an affordable Power Sword at all right now. The stand is pretty neat too.
in my opinion, the detail is probably more show accurate on the Hasbro version cause of the light effect from the show, if the do that with all the weapons and make them combine, we're in for what i think might be the best era for PR products
I look forward to the final combined form of all the Hasbro weapons! I don’t think I would want to pick it up personally but I love that they are making it. I will continue to get the Hasbro helmets as they become available, blue looks really nice :) fingers crossed it’s Yellow next so I can have the whole set (since I have a wildranger5 Black Helmet). For the price they are amazing even when compared with a 500$ ‘real’ version. Hopefully they nail the green helmet (since Bandai’s was too skinny and not a great representation). Also nice video!
I'm sold if they can combine once all power weapons releases but I don't see any kind of attachment/port for them to combine on the sword or lance. If they end having attachment pieces with the other weapons or sold separately and the sword is sold out ima be pissed! Lol
I sadly did miss Bandai's one. So this is indeed a good way to get the power sword if you all missed out like I did. I didn't even know about that light up feature, and that just makes this version that much cooler! I may even change my mind and get the power dagger too.

I think the main take away from it is how the sword is, for the price I was going to pay for it £222.99 As i write this comment, then i don't think it's the price it's worth, The light up feature is really nice but from what I've been seeing i that it's tacky and not worth it at all. If it was a lot cheaper around say £120 or £130 it's a much decent price range and more tempting but from what I've been seeing I'm just not a fan of it.

In the past couple weeks Ive beem mulling over getting this. What really gets me is the price tag. I think they will release the bow next if they do connect that way people will still have the opportunity to buy the lance and sword and then will need to buy two more products to complete the blaster. If they dont end up connecting, the bow will be last so the people who hope it will connect buy the other 4

Yes, the Bandai version is better but that doesn’t mean Hasbro’s is bad. I might get it for the same reason you did, the other weapons coming out. It would be awesome if all weapons are released and are designed to form the power blaster. That would be huge. Maybe there are secret lights and sounds made when the potential power blaster is formed and fired?
I'm not sure how it would work, but I was thinking exactly that. I did have some Christmas Peanuts figures that were able to talk to each other wirelessly. You pressed the button and they'd all sing and light up. It'd be very cool if Hasbro did all of the weapons, and once combined they all flash or something like that...

This gets me excited for other releases. Examples being Samurai's spin sword, Megaforce's sword & blaster (especially since I didn't get the Goukaiger ones) RPM's weapons (especially Blue's giant cannon) Mystic Force's regular weapons & upgrade weapon with the rotary phone (tho I'd doubt we'd get the boxing gloves) Heck even Overdrive. There's a lot of good possibilities now with this line, and with Bandai Japan now with their line of Kamen Rider weapons. So in all RIP my wallet 😭

The only issue I found with the sword is the weird vacuuming sound and swinging noises it makes when the lights activated its sounds like a totally random noise that I honestly cant even describe other than a sound bit from a deku monster from legend of zelda very upset the light isnt just a nice light that will stay on it turns off after about a minute :/

I would love to have a Power Sword but back in the day i sadly had no money for legacy and now well i have the money but i´am not willing to pay 275 € for the Hasbro Version. Also tbh it does not look as good as the one from Bandai, can not tell what it is but i do not like the looks of it. I will try to get legacy and hoping for a good deal, anyways happy that you enjoy the Sword.

The sound chip in the hasbro is like 64kbps, hence the underwater sound. Looks amazing tho!
Somehow the underwater sound makes it better for me because it reminds me of terrible tv sound quality back in the 90's

It wouldn't surprise me if they included attachments with the bow since the bow is literally the core of the Blaster.

The only issue I found with the sword is the weird vacuuming sound and swinging noises it makes when the lights activated its sounds like a totally random noise that I honestly cant even describe other than a sound bit from a deku monster from legend of zelda very upset the light isnt just a nice light that will stay on it turns off after about a minute :/

Hy Bruno, thank you for the review. I would love to have a Power Sword but back in the day i sadly had no money for legacy and now well i have the money but i´am not willing to pay 275 € for the Hasbro Version. Also tbh it does not look as good as the one from Bandai, can not tell what it is but i do not like the looks of it. I will try to get legacy and hoping for a good deal, anyways happy that you enjoy the Sword.
