Holy shit! When you are just cruising RUclips on a Sunday afternoon and you're 52 years old and you see a show and say to yourself "I was at this show!" and then you see the 20 year old that you used to be dancing directly under Trey on the front row. I'm speechless. I remember the curtain mike song set 2 opener the most. My 2 favorite songs. Oh, how I wish the video was clearer. The real heater was 2 nights later at Ziggy's. Anyway, thank you for this! I'm smiling ear to ear. Side note, Mike's mom painted the back drop.
WHAT!? This is my very first show!! Can't believe I'm just discovering there's video of the entire thing on RUclips just now... THANK YOU for posting! Had some high school friends who at the last minute were like "hey man, this band Phish is in town, they're awesome and we think you'll like it, you should come to the show with us." No ticket stub because I paid like $10 at the door. I remember standing pretty close to the front of the stage in front of Mike. There were a lot of people there, but it wasn't overly packed. You could go back and get a drink (water, I was 18 ;) and get your spot near the rail back without a hassle. My strongest memory of the show though is how they didn't stop between songs. It was either a segue, or they'd start the next song immediately. Of course, not knowing their music at all, I had very little idea what song was what.
ouch. not as danceable now. although I'd still probably schlep to a show. last one was 2016 or something. Jacksonville. Didn't hate it. I nonetheless am quite fanatical in my fandom.
I'm happy to see this video being enjoyed so many years later. I recorded this with a Sony Hi8 which was fed into a Mitusbishi HI Fi VHS. I combined the feed from a pair of AKG 451's into the VHS so as to combine the video with the higher quality audio. It was a spectacular show and tour for the matter and it's wonderful to see the success that Phish has had since then and the enjoyment people have had viewing this show from what I still consider their peak... I know others disagree. :)
My first show!! Thank you so much for recording and sharing. There were so tight at this point. It's what hooked me. I'd never seen musicians so in sync.
God bless people like you. I was 4 in 1992 so whenever I see video someone did of a show in a crowd my mind is blown. Did the venue just not care and you brought it in a stood and held the camera the whole show or did you have to do sneaky shit
92 was my first year seeing phish. I remember that feeling of discovering something that we all knew would outgrow a space this small in a blink of an eye, and treasure the moment. Hot fire even back then.
So grateful the right ppl were in the right place at the right moment in space and all these years later you worked to weave everything just right for the Phaithful💫🎸🔥
Continuing to contribute: ) thank you this is incredible!!!! These guys missed playing for people they sound great from summer new guitar sounds as vibrant to me since first "hiatus". Thank you as always 🙏

Trey hated sleeves until '94. Then he met some sleeves he really liked and totally changed his mindset on sleeves.

Ha, I remember a friend asking me to go to this show. I couldn't make it that night. Still haven't seen Phish live.

Not possible that they are this tight in ‘92 but apparently they are!!?!… So solid…
1:44:24 when Mango 🥭 starts, right in the bottom middle, those hand gestures 🙌🏻 lol, had to know the chorus was coming strong 😂
This has to be the most insane David Bowie ever.

Just The Pinnacle. The Pinnacle. There was magic in the sound of these early shows.

Holy shit! It's the Flood Zone!!! That place was great!
Very cool! This is one of the two venues that Dave Matthews Band played weekly in ‘92 and early ‘93
Wowzers!! Great sets. Love the build and release on Bowie
NICE! One of my favorites from back in the day!
This is awesome. Old school RVA
