At a time, not so long ago, when women were not encouraged or recognized beyond their role of wife and mother there existed a handful of women who blazed light years ahead of their contemporaries in not only how they looked at life, but how and with whom they lived their life. Alice Austen, an unknown Staten Island photographer had an incredible journey in this lifetime and her life tells a story that is even more poignant today, seven plus decades after her death. I found your video both fascinating and inspiring. Thank you for sharing your historically significant research on this unique and talented woman.
So glad you enjoyed the episode! She was such a remarkable woman and it was such a pleasure to research her and tour her home.
I appreciate your intellectualism in niche interests so much!!! I love how you collect stamps and knowledgeable on historical architecture!!!!!
