Tony's crew consisting of almost nobody that people know to heart just goes to show how much the wars really shredded Tony's crew
To be fair, Tony did as much damage to his own crew as the wars did, maybe even moreso.
@KoH4711 True. But until the end, it was difficult to verify that we think he did more damage.
What’s with you and Borko’s fuckin arrival?
@@KoH4711 Christopher's death really sinked the ship, either bobby or sil would've lived instead of dying because chris probably would've been with them at the time of the hits, although him being alive would've sinked it too, considering JT Dolan's death and the bag of white powder
All because they had to smoke that little cooze Lorraine. Phil started the war.
Glad you included the "Oh Shit!" guy. Definitely a character they should've done more with.
He’s got Vito hips
And don't forget the kid that pukes...
That oh shit guy is more creative than Spielberg
It will never not make me laugh.
I always love that waddle that he did. It seemed to make the "Oh shit" that much more impactful.
When Tony says "seems like that's the cause of death" Silvio automatically knew Tony killed Chrissy.
And why dude worried about Carlo coming over. Suspect
When those eyebrows went, it was like a light bulb lighting up.

The fact that Walden was given the Phil hit means he was very much trusted, and probably got made shortly after.
Trusted yes, but could’ve also been seen as a disposable asset.
He probably was already made.
@@amueller585 Oh, no. Whacking Phil was the #1 priority. There was no room for error, as they wouldn't get another shot. They chose Walden because they were confident he'd get the job done without fooking it up.
@@murfdog19And not easily recognizable too...
@@LivingForceAnd that was indeed the key. This job would usually go to Silvio. Benny, Phil knew well. Walden, no one knew.
I always thought Walden was an interesting character; he shows up out of nowhere and we only hear his name in the last episode, just before he's given a super important hit. He's like a perfect metaphor for the theme of the show, mob life moving past Tony and his crew and further away from where it began. "Walden, what kind of name is that for an Italian"
I couldn't agree more. He was barely in the show but made such an impact. Would have liked to see more of that guy he looked like a cold blooded killer...
@@nickk7425 yeah exactly, he was respected and trusted despite being seemingly new in the crew. After Tony and the rest are dead guys like him will be on the up just like Tony was when he was young.
@@liammylchreest3506 I almost would have liked to see the show continue to see how that character would develop..
@@nickk7425 That’s the film we should’ve got

Borko is a saint.
Much less the throwup guy…
His name is O’Schitt
I still think the "Oh sht" guy at the end is channeling Vito and his walk.

I have a dumb theory. The murders Phil personally commits in the show are Vito, a man with a waddle, and Angelo Garepe, in the trunk of a car. And who’s there to mock Phil’s demise? A man with a waddle at the trunk of his car

*Walden* - yeah, he does that all the time, sometimes he spends most of the day just uploading clips, you know their funny that way.
*HBO* - This guy is history today, pick him up!
Thanks for this one. Walden comes and goes so fast and that's why he kinda fascinates me - he randomly turns up in the last three or four episodes, carries out the hit of a boss, interacts with a cat and then introduces himself in his very last scene.
There's something about him that's symbolically linked to Christopher in some way, I just know it - we see him lifting weights at the workplace, bickering with Paulie, not to mention the damn cat and whatever all that means.
Also, did you notice the shot of him aiming at Phil before shooting him again is staged almost exactly the same as a shot in the pilot, when Christopher shoots Emil again on the ground?
It's overblown to say at this point: but he's a character I wish they did more with. If they do a revival he outta be a captain atleast
Yeah I think he's meant to represent what Christopher could've been like had he not been an addict and was competent.

The Waldon character was an interesting case. He had such a brief time on the show while still making a very memorable impact. Would of liked to see that character fleshed out a little more...
He was a fearless (notice when he had the gun drawn on him at the safe house, he hardly flinched and reached for his pistol), doesn't take Paulie's disrespect, lifts weights, cares about the spirit of Chrissy (the cat).
He is a clear, loyal protege to Chrissy, but a bit more sober...Definitely super dangerous...
@LivingForce Almost like the show was meant to continue for another season or 2 to see the Waldon character explored farther. The guy obviously commanded respect, and was a cold blooded killer...

Walden is the guy who give Big Puss the information about Benviloqa hit. He was looking for Sil. Back in season 2.
Bullshit.
@@aemiliuskai14 season 2 episode 9
I like that they intentionally didn't bother developing or seriously characterizing the new members of the Soprano glorified crew in the later seasons. It enhances the feeling of loss and utter devastation that comes with the final act, which arguably kicks off with Christopher's death. Keep in mind that's probably how Tony would feel about things too. By the final episode it feels like he's surrounded by nothing but strangers, which contributes to the general sadness and surrealism. The stereotype of the prickly old man who doesn't let anyone get close to him because he's still clinging to the friends he's lost exists for a reason. If Tony had lived beyond the end of the finale (which he didn't) he likely would have been (more) miserable and lonely for the rest of his life, never letting anyone (in his organization) get as close to him as Chrissy, Bobby, Pussy or Silvio were.
It was very allegorical for David Chase to use an orange cat for Chrissy's reincarnation.
Paulie thought the cat was going to scratch Chrissy’s picture with an implement and run off. He found out later he was a interior exterminator who killed sixteen “Pork Store” rats single handedly.

@@littlekingtrashmouth9219 That scene was actually how I learned Bobby Darin was Italian.
They never see you coming, do they, Walden?
It's lowkey disappointing that benny fazio wasn't expanded upon career wise out of anyone in tony's crew. he was one of the few that treated being a made man like a career on the show. when compared to people in between ralphie and patsy. even in terms of made men extending to paulie (if we apply the theory that he collaborated with new york to plot against tony)
if you notice, benny was one of the only besides sil that enforced and stayed loyal to tony. but tony's indecisiveness, insecurity, bias and nepotism got the best of him. instead of promoting someone like benny to a higher rank, he promotes christopher because he's family. instead of looking at christopher's drug and substance problems, immaturity, unfitness, and being inconsistent throughout the series. if i were tony, i would've given more to benny
