If they dont have a source of income, how are they going to pay for weapons, for ammunition. They also have to feed their soldiers or else they will starve. They need oil for vehicles and tanks. Where are they going to get these things without money?
The Germans marched a bit different. I believe they didn't put their legs that high up. And the way these guys marched they are like robots. The Germans showed some more individual confidence in their marches, in my opinion.

Meaning, the role equivalent to a democracy's president is split into three in North Korea: one for military, economy, and diplomacy. SK economy is in a powerful 27,900US$ per capita and NK only in a weak 1,200US$. You fight no only with weapons yoy fight with money, food, strategy and technology. What if NK soldiers are OK when farmers are starving and can't cultive rice??.
