- Presenting "I See Fire Burn," our most grammatically satisfying mashup title ever! Close second "Chains Drag Me Down" :)
A little background...the Red Cross challenged Jaclyn and me to make a fire themed mashup to help promote their #2steps2minutes campaign, and we couldn't help ourselves but take it on. Ed Sheeran and Ellie Goulding songs were our first picks and we loved putting it together. Make sure to check out the important message at the end of the video!
Also, we filmed this a few days after visiting Harry Potter World in Orlando....and we came very close to decking out in Hogwarts gear for this video...very very close... :p

Back in the early 1980's it was a common thing for us in our youth to "chase fire trucks' on weekends, most often it was fires at commercial buildings, and natural forest fires here in Myrtle Beach S.C.
Until.....one night we heard a fire truck and as soon as it became visible it passed us, we as usual chased the fire truck.
Instead of arriving at an unfamiliar place, we kept following it until it arrived at a residence of a great friend of ours....We were all in a daze that night, after discovering that a very close friend of ours had lost their father in that fire...that ended the fire truck chasing, but also sparked a motivation in each of us to fight for the struggle to survive.

Isaac actually no?? they took the two original songs and mashed them up, therefore covering them, unless theres something im missing. they didnt originally write them. they took lyrics from the originals and turned it into an acoustic mashup.

@@crackers1039 Hi, thank you! Yes, my first name is pronounced exactly like the noun, but my last name can be tricky for some people because it's not pronounced like how 'settlers of catan' is.
The best way I can explain visually would be something like 'kay-tuhn', but I've had my fair share of people say 'cuh-ton' instead and I don't really mind.

I love how the Lyrics are both about Fire, but yet send over completely different messages.
Burn is about burning bright, showing the world the fire inside you. It's encouraging and fills you with energy. Whilst I See Fire is in a sad mood, telling a tragic story.
Both sung together makes it kinda feel like Burn is going against I See Fire, telling you to never loose the flame inside you and to overcome the obstacles and bad things in your life.
All in all, I just can't say how much I love this. 😊

These women sing amazingly beautiful voices I especially love the Take Me To Church song the Ms. Davies did with Mr. Wright but (excuse me if I spell you name wrong) Jaclyn has such a spectrum in the notes she hits in her register so does Ms. Davies but singing together.......that’s brilliant you compliment each other very well. Sisters? Gotta be, right? Keep doing what you’re doing but put more on iTunes lol I need these songs and Take me to church on my phone. Thank you for the most “religious” experience I’ve ever had, y’all just took me to church.

As a drummer I can tell just how I change the feeling in the room by letting the beat build then dropping it on them and it’s amazing I miss playing so bad, I admire people that stick with it and don’t let their lives get in the way of the music. My house burned down June 18th 2015! Its AMAZING how fast it spread and how fast we lost everything!! I was cooking on the stove and I turned away to check on the kids for just a moment and my 3 yr old said mommy fire! I got everyone out and went back to try to put it out but it was to late. I am VERY happy noone died in the fire but sadly it has now left us homeless. Since we didnt have insurance due to assumptions. we assumed who we were buying it from had it. they thought we did. PLEASE everyone spend the few dollars on smoke alarms!!! And HAVE a plan!! And have a fire extinguisher. i never thought to ever have one in the house but if i had i might not have lost my house!! Be safe everyone. make sure you have insurance even renters insurance!
The red cross helped us out so much and we love them! Though our lives suck right now we have lives! ANd thats a HUGE thing to be thankful for! my kids were 1,3,4,5 at the time of the fire And i dont know what id have done if i lost any of them! its scary and its VERY tramatizing! its been almost a year and still when we hear a smoke alarm we all freak out! my now 2 yr old cried when she hears sirens as well. but we are alive and together thanks to smoke alarms, my son telling me, and the red cross!!

You should do a mash up of 'Demons' by Imagine Dragons and 'Broken Ones' by Jacquie Lee. I don't know why, but I came up with the mash up in the shower, but the two songs do fit together perfectly. And you two would be able to sing it great!
