I don't think standing up for yourself is petty, though some things may look that way from the outside. It's hard to make accurate assumptions without all of the details. At the end of the day, I'm grateful that there is a powerful female role model for women because it often feels like we're under a constant barrage of criticism. People who know how to hold their own are liberating! I'm so proud of how far she's come

She’s absolutely NOT “leaning into it”. Her music is her soul. She writes EVERY SINGLE SONG she records. Those are her stories. Hers. Literally from her diaries a lot of the time. She’s heartbroken. Listen to the song ‘My Tears Ricochet’. It’s about this exact situation. Where she mentions hoping that when he (scooter/Scott) can’t sleep at night, they can hear her _stolen lullaby’s_

I really appreciate your objective view on this whole situation with Taylor re-recording her for six albums. Can I give further context as to why she is when her contract was up with big machine she wanted to buy her masters back from the company and they said that the only way that they can do it is if she continues recording with big machine, and for every new album she records with them, she will gain one album of masters back. She didn’t want to continue with big machine decided to sign with Republic records knowing full well that her masters were going to be sold along with the company. Because of the fact that Scott Borchetta knew that Taylor did not like Scooter Braun is the reason for the biggest betrayal in her eyes, because she truly hated Scooter Braun because he tried to ruin her career through other people a.k.a. Kanye West.

One aspect of the Taylor Swift musical story that has been lost as a result of the Scooter Braun fight is that her discography is now fractured. What does that mean? Simple. There cannot be an honest Anthology, Greatest Hits or “Best of” compilation, at least for those that would like a good assemblage of her chart hits, or singles if you will. Sure, there can be one in later years with Taylor’s versions, but for those that are sticklers on authenticity, it cannot be an accurate picture without those very Big Machine label recordings. I fully support Taylor’s fight in winning back her music, but for collectors that place hits collections highly, there’s a brick wall there now that blocks such an assembly (Think the Beatles’ “Red & Blue” double albums) from ever happening.

I don’t think people care as much as you think they do in this comment. No one needs a greatest hits album anyway. Swifties are a different breed. And loyal. The Taylor’s Versions are more than good enough.

what i dont like about certain people is they always say "taylor is playing the victim" when in reality she really is the victim. what most people see now is race and skin color. they see it as when you have a white skin =white privilege, bullies, greedy, etc. and if youre darker color, = oppressed, victim, etc. im not saying this isnt true or whatnot. but when you generalised it to everyone it becomes sickening. its toxic. not every white person are evil and same goes with any other color. just like what they mention on the previous ep when they talked about her, they were insisting they taylor was playing the victim card really well. if they did made their research and do their assignments before they do their talks maybe theyd have enough knowledge to how everything went down. and thus most swifties are always in defensive mode cause for 17- 18 years of her career people have been up her ass coming up with bullshits trying to put a dirt on her name considering she was labeled the squeaky clean princess of country music. up till her moved to pop it never stopped.

Thanks for letting us know about the stolen dancers. Also feel free to let us know what we got wrong on this video about Taylor.

    • @Tsukiakari-qb3tk

@@TheChasingMountainsPodcast Basically, the dancers had previously worked for Katy but were looking for work and since Katy wasn't touring, she told them to go look elsewhere but since she was going to start touring soon, to make sure they could give 30 days notice when Katy's tour started prep. The dancers were hired by Taylor for the Red tour and then gave their notice and were fired. I think that's the rough lowdown, I could be forgetting stuff. It's been a decade. And it's water under the bridge.

  • @Hey_Jamie
    @Hey_Jamie 9 месяцев назад +4

Also, Taylor has way more songs about her being the antagonist than the protagonist. And she doesn’t have any songs playing the ‘victim’ role…

Enjoyed this. I think you need to keep following up on this story with scooter, kanye, kardasians, and their marriages as well as Selena and Justin. There’s a lot of connections. Her current song Karma is just soooo satisfying. Scooter is a very shady guy. You should also look into what he’s doing with kpop and partnership with HYBE/Big Hit who are desperate to get their music getting the Grammy or any ligit music awards. 😉👏🏽

Taylor Swift is a brilliant artist and highly intelligent. She did make the decision and choice to RETRIEVE her personal property. We are proud of her. Just another example of her genius. Her music was KIDNAPPED and she successfully RESCUED it.

Her pettiness is the driving force for her success tho. Lots of low moments in her career yet she was able to turned them on her favour like the 🐍symbol, re recording, inspiration etc... Her Eras tour was amazing btw. 😍😍😍

As of the time of this podcast, Taylor Swift is 33 years old, and in the middle of a billion-dollar solo tour that is likely to go down in history as the biggest of her time. Stop calling a 33-year old woman a "girl". I hope you little boys take some time to reflect on that. Thanks!

Love the comparison to a gangster. "Hi! what a nice home you have . . .". I could see TS driving up to/past Kanye or Scooters house, saying that to them, smiling, waving, then driving away. With what they know now the terror it could induce. Imagine them thinking "Will it be a song or will the Swifties come?". Delicious.

Taylor knew that Scott Barcheta would sell her masters. It was WHO he sold it. TO Scooter Brown. Scooter Brown was Kayne's manager and was behind bashing Taylor in the whole debacle with Kim and Kayne. Scooter had all his artists ( Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato.....)Bashing and talking shit about her. Only Ariana Grande would not do it.
After all, Scott Barcheta had seen personally how traumatizing, soul crashing was for Taylor, he chose to sell to him-Scooter Brown- That was the betrayal.

So what's the point about the computer guy? Ok, Taylor may or may not acknowledge that guy, so he just wants to say something and ride along the popularity of Taylor. So he was asked personally to just avoid those topics in public. He doesn't want so what will you do? That guy was gossiping about the relationship of her parents. Will you allow it?

Fascinating, a 30 minute TS overview from a Bad Blood stan. That's like one of her most universally hated songs within the fandom. Anyways, one thing to know about Taylor's beefs, she will not rest until Scooter Braun's life is in ruins. Like, yeah TVs are good PR , good business move, but I think she truly wants that man d*ad

Disappointed with this reaction. The title led me to believe some sort of analysis of a career trajectory, musical development, her shift through several musical genres -- but this episode seems to be more to languish in gossip and "dramas". That's kind of click bait, dudes. There's a lot musically to react to, but this hardly touched any of her music. ~ Disappointed viewer who subbed, and then quickly unsubbed.

I definitely agree with you. She hasn't mentioned that Scott Borchetta initially approached her with an offer, allowing her to reclaim one of her old master recordings for every new album she produced. Such deals are standard in the industry. Even Beyoncé entered a similar agreement, and it's widely accepted. However, Taylor was not satisfied with the offer and declined it. Before she could counter, Scooter Braun promptly secured a $300 million deal with Borchetta, catching Taylor by surprise. Taylor wanted influence over who Borchetta sold his label to, hoping to negotiate a more favorable deal with the new owner. But with Scooter Braun now in control, her chances of striking a better deal became nearly impossible, especially since Braun had financially supported Kanye in producing a music video that mocked and targeted her. My only criticism is this: business deals often have tough negotiations. Taylor seems to want every advantage to tilt in her favor. If she truly detested Scooter Braun, she could've accepted the deal Borchetta initially offered. It appears she wanted a favorable deal from Borchetta without involving Scooter Braun. My only criticism is this: if she detested Scooter Braun, so much could've accepted the deal Borchetta initially offered. Secondly, she wasn’t cautious who wherre her friends, with. That’s why Scooter Braun “swiftly” strike a deal because her best friend Karlie Kloss who is friends with scooter Braun and his wife, due josh Kushner, probably told the story, of taylor and borchetta, in one of her couple dinners. Lol theirs pic online.

In an interview, she said she didn't agree to the one new to one old album because she knew borcheta was about to sell big machine (like he did) and she would have to work with whoever that was for decades, losing even more control of her career. Also, the reason he didn't sell the masters to her is because the market value of his company was primarily her work, so it wouldn't be appealing anymore without her.
