    I like the punch of the micro dark, but it sounds a bit too scooped also. Micro Terror for me!
    Also, thumbs up for the Alice in Chains cover !

    • @lijkenkist1
      @lijkenkist1 5 лет назад +3

      It sounds more scooped because he set it up to do so. A big difference between the Micro Terror and Micro Dark is that the first has a regular 'tone' knob, while the latter has a shape knob, with which you can either enhance the mids (anti-clockwise) or scoop the mids and enhance low and highs (clockwise). He has the knob set at about 1-2 o'clock so that makes the mids less pronounced

      @@lijkenkist1 I noticed that too, I usually have mine near the opposite end of how it was put in the video

      they got it set to right smiley face side, left goes mid boost shape, I like pretty somewhere near centre, 11- 1 o'clock can be enough of a change. depends on input. which pickup setting's etc etc. Playing around and mixing different cones in cabs also all part of the voicing. Good fun making your own setup.

    @isexuallyidentifyasanovenm1617 5 лет назад +3

    This isn’t fair because the EQ on the two amp dont have the same function. On the micro terror it’s a normal bass and treble EQ on the micro dark it’s a mids control

    What are the settings for it to work? I Got myself a micro terror but as I realized it lacked the gain I needed, I oredered a tube screamer clon to add the extra bite. However I'm transitioning from modeling amps to pedals and don't really know much. So if I used your micro terror settings as shown in the picture, what settings should I use for the pedal? thanks in advance, I'm subscribed!

    • @m32ramsey
      @m32ramsey  3 года назад +1

      Thanks for the support!! So the Tube Screamer settings I use are the Industry Standard, Drive: 0 Level: 10 & Tone: 6 The louder you push the amp the more it will also distort, depends on the room/area your jamming in. At bedroom levels its always harder to get gain out of any real amplifier, they like to be cranked!! Hope this helps!

    Can you play without it sitting on an amp?

    • @bhx6252
      @bhx6252 4 года назад

      The thing it is sitting on isn't an amp in and of itself. The Terrors are amp heads, meaning they don't have an integrated speaker. The amp-looking things they are sitting on are speaker cabinets that provide the output for the amp, and you'll need one if you plan on using any of these amps without using headphones.

  • @danielbentley7117
    @danielbentley7117 6 лет назад +9

    Poor comparison because you didn't crank either of them up to louder volumes to hear the difference in overdrive gain and your guitar was out of tune.

    • @Crotes1990
      @Crotes1990 6 лет назад

      + he didn't touch the tone knob, I've hear this amp with the tone around 10-11 ish + a maxon 808 tubescreamer and it sounded really tight and aggressive :)
