Changed over to Hardtail two years ago, and I feel like I’m in a secret club of mountain bikers that are having more fun than everyone else. It’s over way too quickly with full-sus.

Awesome bike! I was lucky enough to get my Scout 290 Comp before the prices jumped (Nov 2020), love it. Totally agree, hardtails are all most people need for most trails, especially one as capable as the Scout. Would you say you like it more than the Mythique? (sorry to hear it was stolen)
Ive been riding her for a month or two now and i think i do prefer it, seem to be having alot more fun on her, easier to jump and so nimble. Going to be taking her to a bike park in a couple of months so shall see how it performs there.
@@zoomzoomgt ye They got some kind of partnership thing going with nukeproof I think Even both bikes share similar geometry And it's more bang for the buck tbh
Hey mate, have a Giant ATX1 which is pretty basic but started taking it on blues and some blacks here in Melbourne. Never having ridden trails properly before ,I got a few decent injuries but loved the HT.I’ve just got a stumpjumper comp full sus, and it’s like driving a bus down the trails. The Giant is 27.5 and the stumpy is 29. Fair bit of fun has gone and I’m looking at the nukeproof now and think you’ve sold me on it. Cheers.
Nice review mate. Ive a Vitus, great bikes, but looking at a new bike for a growing kid. Will probably take a plunge on the Nukeproof Scout 290 based on your video. I like the delivery, pity it wasnt a bit longer.

Nice video! With the wheelie try leaning back more and if you fall you just put tour legs down. And try doing thid more until you find your balance point.
Cheers pal... i'm close to getting that ballance point, I could do with just going out on the street and just practicing this one thing until I get it, i only ever seem to try it every couple of months with a few attempts which doesnt help. Thanks for watching bro 👍
@@EireFirst2024 😂😂 C19 led to an epidemic in all walks of life. Shortage in stock for everything, leading to a spike in pricing 😡😡 I sold my Giant trance 2 a couple months back. Now i'm itching for a mountain bike. This time though back to a hardtail, don't need a full sus anymore. And i feel like no one really needs a full sus enduro, unless your trails are nothing but steep declines!

What's this bike like for long xc days would it be comfortable? I'm not looking for an xc bike definitely a trail hardtail but somedays I do like an easy long xc ride, cheers
Ive just gotten a great deal on a 2018 nukeproof scout 275 comp frame which has exactly the same geo as the 2021 model and ive just been binge watching lots of the reviews and im glad to hear that lots of people love them. im pretty much ass when it comes to mtb and so im swapping out my full sus frame to a ht frame.
Great review thanks. I had a similar dilemma about upgrading from my entry level full susser to a 3k mid range reactor. As you said supply has dried up and I heard so many good reviews on the scout. My scout comp should arrive any day now and watching your review has convinced me I made the right choice. Ps, bike theft should carry an automatic 'hand in a vice' penalty!
I was looking at the Marley myself, but I've never been on one so hard for me to say. I have seen the Vitus Sentier on sale this week for £899 which has the Z2 and 11 speed cassette. At that price, I'd be tempted

Getting mine today - was going to get race but for 500 more you get so much more for the ££, dropper, 4pot brakes, Z2 fork etc. Sold my full sus for this as well so can't wait. Ps great channel good to see your progress on this bike
Its hard to say, i wouldnt want bouncy so i turn the rebound down so it absorbs the bumps without bottoming out. Im sure if you up the rebound it would be bouncy
I really want this bike but its sold out everywhere. Correct me if I am wrong but did the price go up on it from a couple years ago? I know this bike is over $1000, but are there any other hardtails for around $1000 or under that you could recommend for a beginner?
Hey pal, my Mrs rides a GT Zaskar LT Elite which she really likes. The San Quintin 2 would also be a really good choice or if thats abit steep in price then then quintin 1 as they all use the same frames.

Ordered the scout pro 275 last week. I ordered the scout comp 275 3 weeks ago, but got a cancellation from Chain Reaction, was gutted. Pro version came into stock this week and I nabbed one. Can’t wait for delivery!
Your going to love it, i feel lucky to of grabbed this one. I was refreshing the page every hour throughout the day waiting for a decent hardtail to drop.

Hoping to get one from Chain Reaction as soon as they are in stock. A Fox 34 and a dropper and bam!!!!!!

Hardtails are a blast. Good forks (sound, not necessarily complex) and tyre choice & pressures make it even better. No need for full suspension.
