That thing has a ton of negative dihedral on the main wing. I thought at first it was just the weight of the wings drooping on the ground, but it's maintained that way in flight! I wonder if that's to try to combat the spanwise flow on the swept wing at higher angles of attack?

Nice looking plane, but quite draggy: If you want to go 10-->15mph faster with same power, cut off those garbage 90 bends at the rudders and make them at least 15" or 0.4m radius bends. Also if you want to go faster ~5mph or so, cut the nose off and make the canard/nose cone interface fairing angles greater than 90 degrees all around. It has massive compression drag zone at canard interface as built, but that is the best place to put a cockpit air intake if you wish... Probably for ~3mph increase you could do the same thing around the radiator/entire inlet and the main wing. Need to extend winglet back towards propeller for decreased drag there. Another 7-->10mph is retractable rear landing gear, but that one is quite a bit harder to accomplish without a medium end machine shop and severe changes in aircraft structure. Bottom bump under engine if you want to fair it back further will decrease quite a bit of drag till you get to a 4:1 ratio and 6:1 ratio would be better. Another region of big drag is the landing gear fuselage join. Fair that out backwards and forwards probably another mph gained there with drag reduction. EDIT: Oh yea, forgot, but harder to do, the angle between canopy and wing if faired out to a ~10" radius(25cm) or so will gain you probably another 5mph or so and MOST importantly will increase cooling to engine as it will massively cut down turbulence going into air inlets.

I have a few hours in a Long EZ and flies like a charm. Too bad that the owner wrecked it and now it is a pile of composite.

I don't know? I flew, Piper Cherokee 140/180's. With my dad as a young teenager for a couple of years. And I loved those. I didn't want to bother with a, Cessna 150. I always wanted to become a jet fighter pilot. But it wasn't in the cards for me.
And this thing. It looks like a jet fighter trainer, cockpit configuration. Missing the rest of the airplane. It's like an emergency ejection pod with wings.
Didn't John Denver have an accident in one of these? Did his canard have a midair collision with a, horny duck? As, there is something very wrong going on here with this, white composite insect with landing gear.
These things fly. Yeah sure. But I don't know? What's Bert Rutan, doing these days? Did he crash for the last time? When will you?
This is why God created, 250 gram, 5 mile range, gyroscopic lease stabilized 3 axis gimbal, 4K, 120 FPS. Battery-operated. Cinematic quality, toy drone. For, $1500 US.
When this device was introduced a few years ago. Hundreds of helicopter pilots, took their own lives. To finally retire outside the big cities. And stop flying cinematic helicopters. Because it no longer pays. To own a $5 million helicopter.
And now it's…… Oh well. You can purchase the earlier models. For just a couple hundred bucks. And they blow everything else on the market, away.
And so if you've always thought of yourself as a DJ? Then you want DJI.

The owner of this machine said.
"I bought a hell of a lot of stuff."
      I've had a ride in a Piper, and that's a nice plane.
You can also watch Piper's video if you like.
