As an old guy I can say GPS has not been around that long. I remember in 94 or 95 a US military helicopter strayed into North Korea and got shut down because it didn’t have a GPS.
A german factory built Rutan variation. I just don't get how it can fly when the two people are so ahead of the lifting wing... sure the engine is a little behind the wing but not a lot.
The canard is a lifting surface as well as the wing, and the engine and prop as you point out is aft which all up is about 400 pounds. They did the math, it balances.
Cool video! My dad worked for ESL in the 1960s and 70s, under Bill Perry. Nice to see the name of ESL come up again.
I used to work for ESL and was part of the pit crew for this aircraft. I don't see the tape on the wing joints, makes it faster.
I have one of these TRW airplanes. may I ask you some questions?
The anhedral on this aircraft suggests much more a VariEze heritage than a Long-EZ. The Long-EZ has flat wings.
also the straight leading edge
Somewhat modified LongEZ wings with somewhat modified Grob Twin Cockpit. I like it!
looking at the anhedral and straight leading edge of main wing its closer to vari ez
Looks like a redesign of a Rutan Long EZ.
Nice and beautiful plane.
Similar to long ez
could i buy the bueprint for from u?please i want to build it
His story is like “anywhere in the world and it knows where it is.” Like GPS?

The canard gives lift too.
Well, again, pretty much a long ez ...
Vari Eze lineage??
I’d say more verieze than longez. The basic planform is certainly Rutan but this is a fully molded airframe. Much more headroom and ease of access.
Can't hear you talking
I’m not saying anything.
Nothing secret about these, there's quite a few flying here in Germany.
This is an ugliest canard there is.
@@Mihka Really? I like the rounded fuselage and smooth transition to canopy of this plane over the square canoe look of the long ez personally.
