@@WolvericCatkin Those games still exist and are still playable, even if they're out of the era. Specifically the transitions make me think of WarioWare switching between microgames.

@@ghhn4505 Sure, but I'd like to see them in modern games... I feel like little dioramas would be far more interesting as loading screens for Bethesda games, than their current 3D model showcases...
@@WolvericCatkin Yeah, true. It feels like when a lot of modern games (Triple A or Indie) try to bring over mechanics/flourishes from older gen games it's done in a very ham fisted "LOOK AT THIS NOSTALGIC THING" way though, so hopefully they'd be done with some tact. Maybe I'll sneak them in a project one day.

Seeing all your animations back to back and realizing these were all done relatively close to each other makes the gradual animation improvement all the more impressive.
It's kinda wild how quickly you earned a spot as one of my favorite GMod animators, looking forward to more stuff from this channel

for me, the animation with the most understandable story is Pant Thief, from the moment 7:00, notice how this work has a real movie script.
the Soldier enters the "pants bench", to steal the valuable pants from the city hall, then that arouses the attention of the sniper sheriff, who tries to confront Soldier, but Soldier and his demoman squire ends up running away, which leaves the mayor of the city (engineer) furious by the sheriff, thus making a proposal for him to capture Soldier and his assistant demoman, we as spectators don't understand what the engineer is talking about, but obviously he is giving the location of where Soldier could be, which makes Sniper determined, thus arriving at the hideout from soldier, however when they were about to have a firefight, uglyspy appears.
Wdym the story where heavy takes his son to a bouncy house and the old sniper reminiscing about the days where he could do that with his son isnt understandable?

The transition is great - the framing of the animations as Scout changing out (and commenting on) tapes really brings the compilation together.

I especially like the parts when the scout and spy are tired from putting in the tapes/discs that they just flop over and you have to just motivate them
Pretty sure that's the actual rig they used for the other animations, just not in first person
You don't animate what the camera doesn't see, but they look kinda funny
I swear. Ugly Spy needs someone that genuinely cares about him.

These animations keep their weirdness, but they feel more “realistic” than others I have seen at the same time. They dont feel like random stuff happening, but more like a different world with its own logic.
To me it makes it feel almost like a fantasy world to explore.

I have no idea how it was created, but I've loved Heavy shouting "hang on a sec!" ever since I first heard it in MegaG's The Huge Package.
This is the kind of content that I would be physically unable to describe under any circumstance. Like, if someone asked me what these videos were, my brain would short circuit and I’d have a fucking stroke instantly.
Loving the Ps1 game music, and that start-up sound really hits me right in the nostalgia.
This animation comp. Shows that in this style of content, ai voices are best when used sparingly, it helps add to the confusing and honesty trippy atsphomere, expecialy the reversed gibberish

CrazyScoutFIN is one of the best Gmod animators I've ever seen.
Before I started watching good Gmod animations like these, I never thought that my favourite sandbox game can be such a powerful tool for animating stuff

Seen all these already but love the animations and faces so much I gladly rewatched. Plus, now I have a better way to share your animations with others
I love your work, brings me a smile every time you upload a new animation
This really does showcase the caliber of talent CSF has. Sometimes the changes to facial structure are subtle, sometimes drastic, but I have never seen faces like these anywhere else. Each one is its own character, easily distinguishable from the others. The Demoman in Field Guard looks like he was pulled straight out of Wallace & Gromit. There's that, and the way CrazyScoutFIN is able to create utter gibberish from all the voice clips, and have it somehow come out sounding normal. Between that and the PS1 aesthetic added to some of the videos, and you get this distinct feeling of being a little kid again. When you knew enough words to be able to follow along with the shows and movies you watched, but not enough to know exactly what the characters were saying. Masterful.
