WELP. I accidentally bought a splitter on amazon. Glad you helped me clear up the two hour confusion I went through to figure out "what I was doing wrong with my cables." Bought the wrong thing.
Thank you so much for explaining the differences in such easy to understand language. Finally after 4 weeks of buying unnecessary gadgets I know what I actually need!
I just received the flex box. I have two TVs and one flex box I’m not into electronics. I read something about HDM1 splitter. That’s what I may need for my second TV .That’s how I ran into you. I like how you explain splitter in the monitors and extension from the computer and connecting the splitter to the TV. You got my vote for subscribing .
Great video! I appreciate the fact that you explained the difference between the splitter and the adaptor. Definitely saved me from buying the wrong thing.
This is thorough yet brief. I appreciate your effort. Thank you. Im a female exploring knowledge and my opportunities in IT that i might need and not spend unnecessarily
Thank you for being so very thorough with your explanation. I'm setting up a triple monitor setup using my PC tower, and this saved me a lot of time and $$.
Thanks a million for telling the difference between a splitter and an adapter. I made the same mistake you were talking about but I got my money back and bought the extender adapter that I should had got in the first place. I am gonna spread the message
FINALLLYYY!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! I have been on youtube for an hour searching why my monitors are duplicating!! I accidently bought a splitter, i'm not that tech savvy so seeing your video explained this to me properly!! I ordered an adapter and will be returning this one! omg. Thank you for your help!!!
Just like what @davidevans3199 said, I have wasted last hour trying to figure out why my HDMI splitter cannot extend my monitor, and in 4 minutes you clearly explained it-Plain and Simple. You ROCK!!
This is the only helpful video I found about HDMI Splitters cos I was at my wit's end why my laptop display would not extend turns out I need an HDMI ADAPTER AND NOT A SPLITTER. Sheesh. Thank you for your service!
Thank you for such a thorough explanation; appreciated. This showed me exactly what I needed. I actually need the adaptor rather than the splitter because I'm using 3 monitors on my current PC, but am moving over to another PC that only has two ports for HDMI. You prevented me making a purchasing mistake. But I can see this device coming in very handy at some later point, either for use with CCTV or with TV's in different rooms.
@@markfrankstechreviews3744 can you please answer this for me. I use a desktop PC with one monitor because I have one hdmi port. So I can use a basic HDMI splitter to Extend my main monitor over to one other monitor? Or will it just duplicate my main? I just want to have a Dual Monitor extended display with using just my One HDMI port, not duplicated. Or does the extension only work over Usb c/a ports and not hdmi? Because I don’t have Integrated Graphics I can’t output video with the USB ports, so I’m stuck with using my Ome hdmi port on my gpu
@killjoy1056 whatever available ports that support the display of your monitor either vga, HDMI, etc that can be found in your PC you can use it to extend your monitor display, even your tablet via WiFi you can use that to extend your monitor as long as they are connected on the same network.
Hey there! Thanks for the detailed review of the Kelio HDMI splitter. It's great to see how it works with both a Blu-ray player and a Surface Pro 7 Plus. The fact that it can duplicate the screen across multiple displays makes it quite versatile for various scenarios, whether it's for business presentations or simply enjoying the same content on different screens at home. I appreciate your thorough explanation about resolution compatibility; it's an important point to keep in mind when setting up multiple displays. The affordability of this device, under $20 on Amazon, is definitely a plus. Your video demonstrations were helpful in understanding how it functions. Keep up the good work with your channel, and I'll be looking forward to more of your reviews in the future. Have a fantastic day!

HI Mark, Thank you so much for this explination! I really wish I had watched this video before I purchased a splitter. lol Now I know why it didn't work the way I wanted.
I've been watching different videos wondering why my drawingtably and monitor weren't working- I have an adapter for my iPad so I can connect it to my projector.... Now I gotta buy a splitter so I can connect both my monitor and drawing tablet to my laptop. Thanks for explaining!
What I need is to setup two monitors to one desktop computer where I can view different screens. Example spreadsheets on 1 monitor and viewing youtube on the other monitor. Note: Desktop computer not laptop in case it makes a difference.
If your computer has two video ports (DisplayPort, HDMI, VGA, Thunderbolt, or DVI), then this should be easily done. Connect monitor #1 to one of the video ports on the computer and connect monitor #2 to another one of the video ports on the computer. Next, once booted into Windows, as @unopbacon7697 stated, press Windows Key-P, and then click on Extend.
PC is much simpler and doesn’t require an aftermarket part to split your screens into two separate pictures. What you need to do is go into your settings and look in the control panel. Some where in those options you will see a picture or screens and it will have two boxes that say 1 and 2. When you activate it, the screen will turn off and immediately turn back on. You will know you’ve done it right when you can click drag an open app or browser to the far left or right of the screen and you will see it slide into your other screen where you can size to fit at your own discretion. It’s been a while since I’ve done it but I hope that helps
Excellent video. Useful Info, especially the section of the video that covers the USB-C Monitor Extender to HDMI Splitter section of the video. This adds new possibilities that can be done using a USB-C Port Smartphone.
4K @30hz is it usable for office tasks or do we need a 60hz minimum? I am thinking of buying a 4K monitor but my current motherboard has HDMI 1.4 supporting 4K @30hz though the CPU supports DisplayPort 1.4 4K @60hz. I am stuck with HDMI.
@@markfrankstechreviews3744 I was really troubled with this question for the past few days as a 32" 4K IPS monitor is quite a huge investment. Ok, I'm buying it; no more worries. Thanks for the reply. God bless.

I don't think this will work for what I want, but I got to learn there is such thing. I have a monitor with 2 HDMI ports and I want to connect at least 3 devices to it, is there any sort of adapter for such scenario? Is it the adapter purpose?
40 videos later and finally someone explained why my 2nd monitor is mirroring and not extending. Sheesh, needle in a haystack right here. Subscribed!.
