This might be an unpopular opinion, but my favorite wild fly videos up until this point were the sailboat diaries. Let’s just say I have watched them over 30 times since they were released 2 years ago😅. I think these videos are gonna take the cake though. Three great anglers and filmmakers in the Bahamas🤌, definitely doesn’t get much better. Excited for more boys this is gonna be good. Appreciate all you do Scotty!
Ivan!!! Been watching your Colorado stuff for years = Quality!! So happy to see you joining and sharing your skills with these guys. Been subscribed for a while but even more reason to watch now! Right on great stuff 👍👍
Good to see Ivan after the fiasco with Trouts... Definitely miss those 5 flies videos/podcasts. About Bonefish, growing up in Hawaii I never knew they were a destination fly fishing target until I got older. We used to catch them on spin rigs or spearfishing, and we would make fishcakes out of them. Best places to fly fish for them out there would be on the Islands of Oahu or Molokai(charter a local guide for this island).
Props to y'all for trying something that most people wouldn't. Bet it felt all the better when you ended up catching that one at the end. Tremendous content keep up the great work!
Nothing like chasing the Gray Ghost of the Bahamas. I've Been doing the DIY down there for the last 10years one island at a time. Keep up the great videos.
Thanks for a wicked video, guys! DIY Bones Ep 1 had me laughing and whooping along with you. I'm sure the Patreon will rock for Team WildFly. Well done!
This is so awesome and the quality of everything is great just so so well done gentlemen…Sunday evening was the perfect time to drop this it will help with going to work on a Monday morning!! Can’t wait for Chapter 2 and I’m going to look into the subscription to watch it early. Keep banging it out guys-
Pro Scotty! Can't believe Will stuck that fish after those rod shenanigans! Excited for this series. May have to join the patreon gang👌 Cool to see Ivan out there too! Thx for sharing fellas✌️
Reminding me of Sailboat Diaries! I miss that group I hope nothing happened between them and we can see them all together again for another short bus series.
Short bus diaries plays on repeat for me! I was wondering the same thing and glad to get an answer on the bad. Look forward to a reunion trip some time, hopefully in the near future.
All your films have been good that you’ve put out since your Unitas 4x4 fly fishing film but this one is amazing Love how you told and put the story together in this one It wasn’t like a story that you were just there in the Bahamas. It was like I was there with you and you absolutely achieved that can’t wait for the other three and see how you put them together. Anyways Jesus Loves You and hopefully we can collaborate and fly fish together one day
Epic as always, if these are still the relative early stages of your fishing and film making career you’ve got a legendary journey in the making. Can’t wait for more
If my wife would leave Idaho, I would be in the carribean. Bone Fish are the only fish that give me the same thrill as chasing waterfowl and the only form of fishing that could replace that for me.
Was that first episode made in Long Island? I think I may have recognized some of the DIY spots that I fished there, hence the question. Thanks and congrats on that top video!
Hopefully I’m not too late! I’d love to go on a costal fishing trip like that video with goth babe, or an eastern Idaho trip or even in your state of Utah! Honestly anywhere I’d be game to fish lol
Curious what length / wt rods you guys had the most success with? I’ve been reading a lot of mixed blogs saying a 9wt is the best all round and people then preaching a 9wt will spook them and that a 6wt is the best to target bonefish but an 8wt would be perfect for wind and a variety of fish. Anyways just curious on your guys opinion.
Not gonna lie this one took a while to get into some fishing, I honestly miss the days of school bus diaries, the trips just seemed so much more fun. Kinda miss the old crew y’all just had that spark

Thanks a ton! The salt is truly special. An incredible fishing experience with an amazing canvas to tell a story with.
Those were my favorites as well
Definitely 👍🏻
Couldn’t be more stoked for this! Currently in the keys chasing bones on fly. Perfect timing
It's good to see Ivan found a new gig after Trouts. Great video
This new trio is legend. Damn Scottie you tempting me with that patreon content
Come on over and join us brother! Lots of fun stuff on the patreon already.
The Bahamians are so chill, great way to represent their country and great job by you guys on showcasing friendship and the sport of fly fishing
They’re the best! A great example of slowing down and enjoying the little things which we could use some more of in the states.
Ivan! So cool to see him here. One of my favorite content creators from back in the day. A true OG.
I've been on that last flat. One of the cooler looking flats I've fished.
That last eat had DIY first fish of the trip shenanigans written all over it!
Haha You got that right!
My intro to WildFly was the Sailboat Diaries, so I'm pretty excited to see this happen

great catch at 39 minutes!

That’s awesome! Hope to check some more islands off in the coming years too.
Some of my fondest memories growing up was fly fishing for bonefish on the east end of the grand bahamas. Such a fun fish to chase!
It's so rad to Ivan back again.

Appreciate you! Hope to see ya on patreon 🤘🏻It was a nutty fight haha.
That is an absolute STUD of a bone fish!!!!
This brought back so many memories of my Aitutaki bonefish trips. They are such and awesome fish. Can't wait for episode 2. Awesome film as always.
Reminding me of Sailboat Diaries! I miss that group I hope nothing happened between them and we can see them all together again for another short bus series.
There’s no bad blood we’re just working on different things right now. Hopefully we’ll do a reunion trip in the future.
@@WildFlyProductions That makes me happy to hear! Short Bus Diaries is one of my all -time favorite youtube series!

So good! Phelps rod though what a fish!
love this. Your my go to fly guy now days
Did my first salt water fishing last month. Snook, reds and sea trout…the strikes haunt me during quiet times throughout the day.
This is a dream trip for sure. So pumped for y'all!
Miss seeing Ivan at Trouts so stoked to see him joining on the WildFly adventures!
Awesome content! Love you guys doing it on your own. Great fish.
Dude, this made my Sunday better!
Insanely well done video as always, can wait for chapter 2!

Stoked for this series!
Happy birthday Scottie!!!!
Loving this... especially the total chaos!
I could be wrong, but I vaguely remember a podcast where you were interviewed and you mentioned the importance of having a spare for the trailer!
Thanks loved it.
Happy birthday bro! AWSOME video!!
You’re a Pisces like me then? That explains a lot! Happy belated birthday Scotty!
Y’all should make a video in the frank church wilderness in the salmon
Been waiting for this one!!!🔥🔥
If my wife would leave Idaho, I would be in the carribean. Bone Fish are the only fish that give me the same thrill as chasing waterfowl and the only form of fishing that could replace that for me.
Awesome as usual.
Was that first episode made in Long Island? I think I may have recognized some of the DIY spots that I fished there, hence the question. Thanks and congrats on that top video!
I thought the same. I did the DIY there years ago
Ont dirait qu'ils péche la lagune ou ce trouve le mémorial de Christophe Colomb
Nice recovery from the rod separation
Bonefish stir the bottom to feed so they will leave indentation telling you they were there.
When the rod came apart😅
Absolute chaos haha
I love your videos scottie! Dude come to RI and we can put you on the cinder worm hatch! Stripers sipping dry flies!
Ooooh…. HES GOT MY ROD! 😂😂😂😂
Put candle wax on the tips of your rod where it connects and it will help stop it from sliding out.
Ivan! hell yeah brother
I thought I was on a different website after seeing the series titled "Birthday Bones" LMAO
That content is on the patreon hahaha
Hopefully I’m not too late!
I’d love to go on a costal fishing trip like that video with goth babe, or an eastern Idaho trip or even in your state of Utah! Honestly anywhere I’d be game to fish lol
Love it☕️☕️😉
Bring it ooooon.
“Happy Holidays Fellas” 😂
Awesome video!! I was wondering, what kind of camera you were gifted towards the beginning?
Awesome video! Just curious, why don't you guys bring a net with you?
What happened with the sailboat guys you did your first trip with, parted whit bad blood?
Hey guys, what's the song at 20:35? Thank you so much!

8 weights were the best for us in most cases, especially with wind. The 7 did great in calmer conditions though.
Rad! Someday I hope to be making a tropical fly fishing trip!!
great vid hey what sunglass brand are you wearing ??
Ombraz & Costas when we’re fishing
What Kind of sunglasses are These from Ivan?
Those dudes walking through the flat is hilarious. Good thing they didn’t do that in Florida lol.
Bone fishing will test every aspect of your fishing skills.
yezir!!!
No way a guy walked cheeks out directly through your fishing spot just to visit a different beach 😂😂
What else you want?
Not gonna lie this one took a while to get into some fishing, I honestly miss the days of school bus diaries, the trips just seemed so much more fun. Kinda miss the old crew y’all just had that spark
Tragic. This is my 4th time watching this now…
I haven’t watched a ton of salt/ bonefish vids, but I’m noticing no one has a net. Can anyone educate me on that?
Which island is this?
White sand and white legs match..............
Haha this is only chapter 1. We hadn’t gotten our burn layer yet 😅
Are you in portland right now? I think I saw you but wasn’t sure if it was you or not 😂 cheers!
@@MTPowersProductions negative. I guess there’s a doppelgänger out there somewhere 😂
I love your videos. Do you guys ever fish NH or the Northeast?
HAHAHA the old dudes with black underwear. WTF?! You be you, man.
Why are linebaskets not used for this!, it would be so much easyer to manage the Line, and stay ready.
I think you would be a great person to sponsor for Xtratuf’s new Mahi/Marlin top print slide on boots.
I’m going to start a channel just like yours do you have any advice and I love the vid
Well the one thing all successful youtubers have in common is posting content consistent
go white sox
17:27... I can see plenty of fish moving on the left
scottie your whiteness is showing during that birthday song lol
they must have been headed to the lgtbq beach
