This is one of those rare cases in wich a great collection mixed with the right music creates an amazing visual piece like this. They couldnt find a better soundtrack, somehow the spirit of the clothes match perfectly with the melancolic mood of the music by Cigarettes after sex. Congrats to the one that decided to replace the original music of the show with this one, great job.

What exactly did he nail???? This is America, not Europe, where one can be more conceptual. If I did not have over 30 years of Calvin's past shows to go by, I would have an easier time taking this in. I like Raf, and if this show was independent, and not attached to Calvin, I would have an easier time believing this stuff. Mostly did not read as Calvin. The colour blocked pants, and the car wash dresses, and shiny garbage bag fabric were pure tacky. Calvin should be a shoe in for Raf the minimalist, and yet I can't help feel that he is trying way too hard. Not to mention that he completely ruined the Madison Ave. store. No wonder MR. Calvin is keeping quiet. Should have stayed at Jill Sanders, your best work so far. But then again, I was not there.
I like music ...yes. Let's just accept that America is boring and keep it that way. Some Americans, myself included, enjoy creativity now and then... is it too much to ask for just one exciting brand in this country.....

The music is AMAZING!!
Where Tom Ford was chic and wearable (albeit a little flat)....Raf was dynamic and experimental. He mentioned that he was tired of filling the expectations of those he considered "spectators", and I can't agree with him more. Its designers like Raf and Miuccia that dance to their own beat and that's what makes a legend. I hope the rest of NYFW follows suit.

A continuation from last season..this time with more variety. The 3 white plastic covered lace dresses with pic look great. There are a lot of elements here from his past Dior shows..white loose nightgown to the leather in degrade Sterling Ruby print. You might say it is rehashing but definitely, there will be new elements next time round

its interesting because a lot of these looks still have such a dior vibe to them. So many full skirts, long pencil skirts, voluminous coats. idk if its intentional, but i think its really interesting to see how these whispers still havent left his mind. such a beautiful show

Anything with those heavy looking tassels homemade pasta noodles should be tossed, nobody in their right mind is going to wear it, kitschy. Its becoming very more younger looking of the models today. Cindy Crawford's daughter Kaia was here and she's stunning girl but she's only maybe 15... Maybe the fashion is evolving ...but I much prefer the Supermodel Era 1990 - 1997 because both male and female models look more adult "women" and the male models look "Men"... not teenage boys or teenybopper girls.

Calvin Klein has always created scandals with teens, I'm really not excited about rich kids as models, its kind of rotten they are models because of their family. And i'm not that excited about Raf Simons either. I see nods to Alessandro Michelle everywhere, but nothing comparable, you can't just put a paint splotch where embroidery was.
